What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Davina saw the teacher pointing at her, so gave her answer.
"Well, one of the things that they have to do is regulate some of the more dangerous species coming in and out of the country. Obviously not small creatures like flobberworms, but say if they were importing dragons, they would need to make sure that everything was under control. Oh, they would also have to make sure that the muggle prime minister is told if dangerous creatures such as dragons are being imported." she finished her long answer.

Professor Lucretia listened intently as the Ravenclaw student spoke; she seemed to have the general idea of the some of the responsibilities the Department had. "More or less; very good answer! Take 5 more points for Ravenclaw. As you said, they do regulate when dangerous creatures come into the country, although this is more so done when creatures are personally transported, as opposed to wild magical creatures; they can be relatively difficult to track, you see. In addition, the Department handles complaints about magical creatures, which includes goblins, ghosts, and poltergeists - I'm sure as many of you have learned, they can be quite troublesome! They also regulate and monitor the breeding of new magical creatures; it would be horrible if a million dragons were born all at once!"

Glancing around the room, she smiled warmly at the students. "Well, we got quite a bit done today, although it was certainly one of our duller lessons - but the introduction is always necessary. Well done today everyone, and unless any of you have something to add, why don't you go ahead and get started on the homework?" Turning her back to the class, Professor Lucretia quietly flicked and swished her wand; instantly a chalkboard appeared. Seconds later, after a few more swishes and flicks, the board was filled with writing. "Alright, here is your homework. Class dismissed!"

You can also still do the homework even if you didn't post here.]
