Keiran wasn't sure how many students he should expect to enjoy the lesson that day, but - what's more - he was feeling really anxious about the potential dangers of wonky magic. Even the students seemed to have trouble with it, now, and Keiran was lucky he was only teaching basic level spells that day, because he would have less of a chance of messing them up while he tried to explain what was happening. Skill, he had discovered, seemed to abate any problems with basic, elementary spells. But how long could that last? The problems with magic were spreading, and he wasn't sure if he would be able to keep his students safe.
At least, he mused to himself as he wrote his name on the board in his messy handwriting, these kids would have trouble casting anything too dangerous, since their skill level was still low.
So he had chosen two spells, one from level two and one from level three, in hopes that the first years could at least get one of them, and that the fourth and fifth years would be helpful and get in some practice. At the very least, Keiran hoped he wouldn't have to be watching the first years for signs of dangerous rogue spells. Deciding it would be wise to only use magic when he had to, Keiran walked over to the door and opened it, leaving it so students could just walk right in when they arrived. Then, he moved around to sit behind his desk, knowing that there were several minutes until he had to start the lesson.
OOC: As you may have seen before, in other class threads, you'll want to read over this link before posting:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]It's got some advice put together by the Admins in hopes of making this term more fun, and to help keep class threads going. In regards to this one, I would suggest that you send your student in to sit down and perhaps chat among themselves. I am not feeling particularly well, so feel free to use this time for your students to make friends. This thread lasts 4-6 weeks, after all, so it would be more fun that way. If you have an older student, please consider PM'ing someone with a third year or younger, so you can sort of pair up and help each other. Just be sure you take turns. I'll have Keiran announce what their first task is after a few people have gotten to post
Also, read the guidelines here if you aren't quite sure where to reply for classes:
