Of course Felix Barker would have had to of been the one that Ne’Os would mention. The man who had been spending time with Christabelle and worming his way slowly into her inner circle. Of course those who had been able to get close to the notorious criminal knew that he wanted his redemption, the chance to be able to walk free as she and Ne’Os were both doing now.
She was slightly amused that she and Godric were not the people that he needed to worry about anymore. It was true for her, she had bigger things to worry about than the vampire who stood before her. She had remembered him once as a young man, but now she was standing before a man who was old before his time. It was almost cruel, but she couldn’t say that he didn’t deserve it.
“I’m very aware of what is going on in the British Ministry.” Christabelle replied, “I have to be in order to be running my country. Britain might not be in the best shape right now, but you would understand that someone as young as myself in a position of power needs strong leaders by her side.” She explained, “You learn to make allies where you don’t necessarily want to for the sake of your own neck. I would imagine that is why you’re talking to me, trying to assure me that you are not a threat, but I can not trust that.
“As for Felix Barker, he is the least of my worries.” She added flashing a small, yet charming smile. As if she had a secret that she wasn’t going to tell. Like a child who had snuck into the kitchen to get the very last of the brownies before dinner after their mother had told them not to. “I have bigger and better things to worry about. And if you remember how my twin is, then you know what he could do to me would be nothing compared to what I grew up with.” Christy remembered being placed in a bed of snakes who could kill her if she moved, because Godric thought she had a tendency to be fairly whiny at times. When you used someone’s worst fears against them, it made it hard for someone to torture when that had been taken away.
“So what is it exactly that you’re asking from me Ne’Os?” Christabelle asked curiously. She had bigger things to worry about than this vampire. Sure he may have been powerful once, but she knew he had since then lost power. She also knew that he could be a threat if challenged.
