The Ministry of Magic
ManagementThe minister is the political official that is the leader
of the British wizarding goverment, and as such, he oversees
all other ministry departments. The Deputy Minister is in charge
if the current Minister is ill or simply unavailable. The Deputy
Minister is also referred to as the advice giver for the Minister.
They are the most trusted member in the Wizarding World; by the
Minister himself and the public.

Department of Law and EnforcementThe Law Enforcement Department is responsible
for the safety of the wizarding world. The two primary
departments housed here is Law Enforcement and
the Wizarding verion of a department of corrections--which
in this case, is the administration of Azkaban prison. The
warden of the prison falls within this department. The head
of the Law Enforcement Department also serves as the
Warden of Azkaban. Members of the Department of Law
Enforcement can be summoned collectively or individually
through the enchanted Ministry of Magic shield lapel pin
that is to be worn at all times. Unspeakables are each
issued a customized piece of jewelry that serves the
same purpose but is far less conspicuous.
The Magical Law Enforcement officers answer to the calls
from the public and enforce the mundane to the ridiculous.
They are the wizarding world's first responders, and they
also serve as the equivalent of the wizarding world's SWAT
team that respond in times of crisis to try to re-establish
community safety. Their roles end when Dark Wizards
get involved, however. They can be called upon to add
extra security within the Ministry itself or to provide protection
for wizarding officials as necessary, such as added protection
in a Wizengamot courtroom trial.
Then the job falls to the Aurors to catch the Death Eaters
or Dark Practitioners in question. To become an auror one
must successfully complete auror training, which is quite
demanding and vigorous and include various spells and
abilities that other wizards are not trained in. They are also
the officers in charge of Ministry security and in provision
of protection of Ministry officials when necessary.
The third division to the Law Enforcement Department is
the Unspeakable. This department is responsible for England's
national wizarding security. The Unspeakable is forbidden to
acknowledge that he/she is, in fact, a member of the Law Enforce-
ment department and are forbidden discuss job duties except with
other Unspeakables or directly with the Minister of Magic. The
Unspeakables report directly, and solely, to the Minister of Magic.
Their tasks are highly sensitive and secret. Their tasks involve
intelligence, surveillance, espionage and any other task
that deemed vital for national security. To protect their identities,
Unspeakable also are required to hold positions in the Department
of Mysteries in order to justify their presence in the Ministry.

Secretaries, Interns, Lawyers and Personal AssistantsThese employees are, basically, the help. They sort through the post
that comes through, go out in search of coffee and make sure that
whoever they are assign to are on time for everything. They truly
are an important part of the department though they are often
overlooked by nearly everyone. They are they gel that keeps the
department together and this is the best place to start if you want
to move up through the Ministry. Also, lets not forget our slippery
friends: the lawyers - they're get you in and out of trouble faster than
you can say 'Quidditch'.
