Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

The Ministry of Magic Empty The Ministry of Magic

The Ministry of Magic

Management
The minister is the political official that is the leader
of the British wizarding goverment, and as such, he oversees
all other ministry departments. The Deputy Minister is in charge
if the current Minister is ill or simply unavailable. The Deputy
Minister is also referred to as the advice giver for the Minister.
They are the most trusted member in the Wizarding World; by the
Minister himself and the public.

Minister of Magic (Robert Lupin)
Deputy Minister of Magic (Elijah Krum)
Undersecretary to Deputy/Minister of Magic (Jude Shaw)
Secretary to the Deputy/Minister of Magic (Melissa Finnigan)

The Wizengamot
The Wizengamot is the Supreme court for the
British wizarding world, and as such, it holds trials for
wizards who have disobeyed the law. if you are in the
wizengamot, you must be present at the trials to determine
a defendant's guilt or innocence, and decide sentencing.

Chief Warlock (Khaat Lupin)
Member of the Wizengamot (Thaorson Ian Elldir)
Member of the Wizengamot (Sophia Granger)
Member of the Wizengamot (Ana Levski)
Member of the Wizengamot (Theodore Rookwood)

Department of Law and Enforcement
The Law Enforcement Department is responsible
for the safety of the wizarding world. The two primary
departments housed here is Law Enforcement (Aurors) and
the Wizarding verion of a department of corrections--which
in this case, is the administration of Azkaban prison. The
warden of the prison falls within this department.
The Magical Law Enforcement officers answer to the calls
from the public and enforce the mundane to the ridiculous.
Their roles end when Dark Wizards get involved, however.
Then the job falls to the Aurors to catch the Death Eaters
or Dark Practitioners in question. To become an auror one
must successfully complete auror training, which is quite
demanding and vigorous and include various spells and
abilities that other wizards are not trained in. Aurors have
been made into the new site faction.

Head of Department of Law and Enforcement (OPEN)
Captain of the Magical Law and Enforcement Patrol (OPEN)
Magical Law Enforcement Officers (OPENx6)
Auror Trainer (Brian Quinn)
Aurors (Brian Quinn, Angus Donohue)
Trainee Aurors  (Hallie Cooper, Carter Griggory)

Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures
The second largest department in the Ministry of Magic
works tirelessly day and night to ensure that our world
is kept safe and that the Statute of Secrecy is upheld.
The Department for the Regulation and Control of
Magical creatures is the governing body of Beings,
Beasts and Spirits. Our intention is to keep both
those who are human and those who aren't safe
and to be able to do this, we need you.

Head of Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures (Rivah Trenton)
Beast Specialists (Jake Collins, Avery Bishop, OPEN x3)
Being Specialists (OPEN x5)
Spirit Specialists (Ryo Hiroku, OPEN x4)

Secretaries, Interns, Lawyers and Personal Assistants

These employees are, basically, the help. They sort through the post
that comes through, go out in search of coffee and make sure that
whoever they are assign to are on time for everything. They truly
are an important part of the department though they are often
overlooked by nearly everyone. They are they gel that keeps the
department together and this is the best place to start if you want
to move up through the Ministry. Also, lets not forget our slippery
friends: the lawyers - they're get you in and out of trouble faster than
you can say 'Quidditch'.

Secretaries (Jemma Tiquelle, OPEN x4)
Interns (Alexander Jones, Jeremy Podmore, OPEN x3)
Personal Assistants (Open x5)
Lawyers (Open x5)

The Ministry of Magic Empty Re: The Ministry of Magic

Post by Rivah Trenton Mon Apr 15, 2013 11:03 pm

Name: Rivah Trenton
The job they want: Head of the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures
Why they'd be good at it: Rivah has worked her way up this department, ever since she joined straight out of Hogwarts. Rivah has a great mind, and had always been better with animals and the dead, than with people. She's worked as both a Beast and Spirit Specialist in the past, and genuinely likes her work. With her mind for memorization and numbers, and her experience in this department, Rivah would be a good Department Head.

She's also a Death Eater, so that could do interesting things to the plot if we wish, although I doubt she'd do anything to hurt her department.

Ok, Jemma's still a secretary but she's now secretary to Jude Shaw. Don't know if/how that needs to be updated, but thought I'd mention it.
