Marriage is Murder

Jack saw Cassidy was about to talk again and he stopped her placing his hand on her shoulder to stop her " its ok Marcus, like you said were just concerned but she really can't go any where" he said and smiled at them both. Jack heard Michael and headed down to help . " wow that's a lot" he said as Cassidy saw what she'd asked for and grinned as she walked up behind Jack.

"Nice you got it " she said and picked up a clear glass jar and disappeared into the dinning room, jar and provisions in hand. Jack Shook his head and began to put the provisions away in their respective places.

Kate motioned them all to go to the kitchen to get their groceries. Khaat didn't reply. She wasn't going to cook today. She just watched them go to the kitchen. Then she looked at Marcus.

"Am I allowed to go out in the yard?" she asked him.

"Your house, your yard," he shrugged. "But I appreciate your asking. So, lets go out."

"Its not always my yard," she sighed, getting up, and setting her cup down.

"Come on. The fresh air would do you good," he smiled. He escorted her outside and closed the door behind them so she could get away from feeling so trapped. Michael had noticed her stress from having her magic limited, and knew it was due to her shoulder. He wasn't sure how much more patience she had to be inconvenienced.

Cassidy sighed and looked at Kate as she passed by her knowing Khaat felt trapped she too knew that feeling from when she was younger living with her father all those years. " maybe we all could go to the beach or something if the weather clears up" she suggested standing in the door way waiting for a reply , she didn't like it when Khaat felt this way and jut wanted to make her smile again. " we could make a picnic and spend the day I'm sure the kids would like it , I can't remember the last time they went on a beach.

"The beach outside her Tuscany house would be spectacular right now," Michael remarked. "The tough part would be deciding to come home, I think. "

"I think that's a lovely idea," Kate said. "Perhaps a long weekend. The beach house in Hawaii would be equally as lovely. Its been a long time since we've been there."

"You never take me anywhere, Kate," Michael teased.

"Because you never behave," Kate laughed. "But maybe getting a bit of distance between us and the werewolves would be a good idea."

"Can Robert get away?"

"We can ask him. What are we out?" she said.

Cassidy looked at them " yes it would be beautiful this time of year all the bright colors and warmth" she said hoping they would go and relax. " I agree with Kate " she said Jack heard talking and walked back in listening and smiling .

"It would do every one some good" he said and glanced to Marcus " maybe we could use that new boat Edward got that Brant told me about and do some deep sea fishing I hear the Marlon are up and running" he said smiling as he waited for them to decide. Steven busied himself in the kitchen making things to eat and cleaning up at the same time soon he was done and headed out to them.

"would be good to get some fresh ingredients and sun at the same time" he said " Angus would have no choice but to go back and relax for a bit" he said folding his arms across his chest.

Michael noticed Jack looking towards Marcus who was merely walking beside Khaat outside in the morning sun. He noticed some obvious stiffness and soreness in both of them, but they were up and moving. Michael noticed Belby had gotten her to laugh somehow.

"He'll fit in just fine, you know," Michael said. "She really is working to cut him a break. She's not doing her usual pranks with him, anyway. She is trying."

"She just hasn't done any of them yet," Brian said, coming back in. "She will. Don't worry. She can't be that good all the time. No Kieran or Fi, yet?"

"Not yet. Are they on a schedule?" Michael asked.

"Yes, actually. Mine," he said.

"And you are getting more and more like Robert every day. Answer me, Brian," Michael said. "Beach--this weekend. 3 days. Yes?"

"Beach?" Brian asked. "Which beach?"

"Any beach," Michael said.

"Why not? What's summer without a beach?" Brian asked.

Jack smiled and nodded he agreed "Yep he will" he said and moved back inside , Steven chuckled as Brian said it would not be summer with out a beach he could not agree more.

" I'll make a pack lunch for the first day" he said and smiled now humming as he cooked. Cassidy looked back at him and raised an eye brow.

"Well I never hes never been this cheerful before." she said and chuckled as he passed her by then kissed her cheek as he did. "Well that's different" she said and smiled watching him threw the doorway. Jim walked down and over to the doorway watching Marcus and Khaat but he said nothing seeing how well they were getting along.

"Well, being happy beats being miserable," Brian shrugged. "You might as well stand down, Jim. I don't see either of those two moving anywhere very fast today.  He's just making sure she actually can stay on her feet."

"No he's not," Michael laughed. "You liar. He's letting her blow off steam.  He knew she was pissed off. He's just letting her get some air to get rid of her frustrations. Alright. I'll have lunch ready in 30 minutes.  Then you lot can have the kitchen for your cooking for tonight. My dessert is already done."

"When do you expect Angus back?" Kate asked.

"I'm presuming around dinner time tonight," Brian said. "Robert wasn't very specific, but I presume sometime before breakfast in the morning."

"Helpful as always," Michael teased, amused at Brian's lack of information.

Jim glanced back he did nod but didn't move he was enjoying seeing the two together out side and the warmth of the sun on his face. Cassidy ad Steven nodded as well " of course Micheal" they both said and chuckled as they walked out into the garden as well but in the opposite direction to Marcus and Khaat.

Steven took Cassidy to the green house to show her the flowers that were still blooming in it. Jack looked around and sat down " well its quiet around here" he said softly not seeing Jess walk down behind him.

" well that's because its a nice warm day and every one has been coped up in side too much" she told him a she kissed his cheek " so Michael what you going to cook?" she asked knowing what ever it was he cooked would be delicious and interesting.

"Its more for the kids, I suppose," Michael said to Jess. "If I really want them to eat, I make chicken. So I'm doing chicken and chips for lunch. They like chicken pieces that are deep fried."

"Their mother and their grandmother does not, Michael," Kate scowled.

"Oh, lighten up, Kate," Michael said. "Do you seriously think they will eat their veggies their entire lives?"

"We can but try, Michael," Kate said.

"Like the control you have over Robert's diet?" Michael teased.

"I will get him to stop that too," Kate said.

"You just keep that little fantasy, Kate," Michael laughed. "I need something to laugh about every so often."
