Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

death before life, the worst isn't over Empty death before life, the worst isn't over

Post by Maddie Kane Sun Feb 17, 2013 1:29 am

Cecilia had been gone from Hogwarts for a few days and she had just returned.not wanting to go up to the ravenclaw common room where all of her housemates were sure to be if they were not in class she had ended up in the bathroom known as moaning mortals bathroom. Most who came to this room were either looking for someone who wanted to be left alone because they were planning to cause problems or to bother the ghost that haunted the toilet in the third stall living in the u-bend, but not Cecilia she came to morn the resent death of the child she had been carrying. True she still had a small girl growing inside of her, but that didn't lessen the pain of the loss she was crying over.

Nick walked out of his transfiguration class with a slight headache from lack of sleep. He hadn't slept well because he was up all night studying for a big test.

Now he just needed a quiet place to relax.

There were classes in the Astronomy tower, and a couple making out in the room of requirement. The only place left was the bathroom of moaning myrtle. As he walked into the bathroom he heard crying. Not just ordinary crying though, the crying belonged to Cecilia, he could tell. He knocked on the door and said "Cecilia it's Nick, are you ok?"

"No I'm not," Cecilia mumbled between sniffles and sobs, "and no I will not come out." She stated quietly, as she sat on the floor in a stall her face red and her make-up smeared from the crying she had been doing since her check-up and her visit to see her brother in the ministry. "I'm fat and my make-up is smeared, so I will not let you see me." She said before more sobbing erupted from her as she cried more and more over the little loss though her comment made her sound stupid and vain.

Nick could tell something was wrong with Cecilia. "Your not fat, your just pregnant. And even if your make-up is smeared I still will think your beyond beautiful. But if you won't open the door you can at least tell me" he said with concern in his voice. People walked in and Nick yelled at them to leave. Then a thought came to mind, he could just slide under the door. Which he might just do.

"NO," Cecilia mumbled as she swiped her hand under her eyes to wipe away some tears as she sniffled. "Just leave," she blubbered and tried to do Herbert to fix what make-up she had managed to put on before she made her return journey to Hogwarts. "I don't want to be around anyone right now," she stammered quietly and pulled a tissue out of her pocket to clean herself up a little bit.

"Okay I understand, but when you want to talk. I will be right here" he told her quietly. Ten minutes passed, then twenty, then thirty. It had been almost fourty five minutes before he left. He came back though and brought a grey pygmy puff with him. He set the thing under the door to her stall. "I got him for you as a suprise" he said.

"Why," Cecilia asked quietly as she picked the thing up to hold it. She had finally stopped crying though she was still sniffling. She hugged the tiny little thing in her arms, "what do you want," she asked and petted the creature. looking up she looked at the locking mechanism on the door. She then unlocked it and pushed the door opened slightly. "I don't know how to tell you what you want to know." She scooted closer to Nick knowing things would seem a little better once she was in his arms.

Nick watched as she exited the stall. He pulled her close and for a moment he sat there and absorbed some of her body heat. "I came here to find a quiet place to relax, but you were in here crying and I got worried" he told her. He took the sleeve of his sweater and wiped her tears and make-up off of her face, he now had a large black spot on the sleeve of his sweater. "I'm here to comfort you, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to" told her quietly.

"I went to st. Mungos the other day," she murmured quietly a few minutes after Nick had stopped talking. she hugged the pigmy puff nick had brought to help comfort her and petted it for a while as she let nick hug and hold her. "D-do you remember w-what I told you the other day in the great hall?" Cec asked stumbling over her words and looked up at nigh as more tears started to form in her eyes. "Their fears came to be true." The tears escaped from her eyes and she hid her face in the fur of the pigmy puff

Tears started to form in his eyes. He just couldn't believe it. He wiped his on tears now and then Cecilia's. "Which one" he asked quietly. It was hard for him to think now. Now he needed to try to cheer her up. "Your pygmy puff is only three weeks old, it's a girl and needs a name" he told her with his voice cracking on every word. "I have her brother" he said quietly. No matter how hard he tried he might not have been able to change the subject.
