"I thought I heard someone with a high whiny voice," Kate sighed. "Thats not like her to whine."
"Abbey," Khaat said, finding that Abbey's unusual demanding behavior was quickly getting to her, as much as it was getting to Brian. Khaat got up and made her way, despite the pain over to them. Brian just looked up and glared hard at Khaat.
"I've got this," he told her. "You are not picking up a three year old today. Forget it. You let me deal with this."
"But it would be so much easier if...."
"It would be so much easier if you let me be the dad right now," he said, short tempered with Khaat as well now.
"Be my guest," she said, apparating out of the bedroom. Brian cussed, and Abbey immediately began to imitate him. He sighed, frustrated. Those were not words he wanted Abbey to know.
Kate sighed, feeling Khaat's energies gone from the house. She went to tell Robert but Robert felt a twinge of his own.
"Khaat's..." Kate began.
"Yeah, I know," Robert sighed. "My protection spells on my office told me someone intruded there. Has to be her. Feels like she didn't cast the spell even halfways correctly."
"Shall I go and get her?"
"I presume she remembers how to get home, but all the same, I should send someone to just go and get her. How the devil did she get past Brian?"
"I dont know but he's angry. I can feel it."
"Well, well. A little trouble in Paradise. Might be good for them. They might as well learn how to squabble and resolve it. Send one of her guards to go get her, but tell them not to be hard on her. Feels like impulsiveness to me, not intentional."
