Name: James Sirius Potter
Age: 22
Ability Desired: Animagus
A Detailed History Behind Said Ability: As a young child, Harry used to tell James the tales of his father and Sirius, and how they would transform into animals to accompany Lupin when he changed once a month. These tales planted a seed in James, and from the time he was a very small lad, he had a burning desire to be able to transform into an animal himself.

The tales of Lupin and his faithful friends also gave James a mild fixation with werewolves, and when he was younger, he was jealous of those who could change into a wolf at the full moon. Of course, when he was older and taught the difference between a real wolf and a werewolf, the jealousy died out, however the idea of transforming into a wolf never left him. After many years of study in Transfiguration, James finally managed to transfigure himself into a wold in his 7th year. He is registered as having the ability to transform into a black pelted wolf, with white markings on his muzzle, and amber eyes.

Ability Desired: Parseltongue
A Detailed History Behind Said Ability: It was at the age of 5 that James discovered he had the rare ability to speak to snakes; Parseltongue. Harry had lost the ability when Voldemort murdered the piece of his own soul residing inside Harry, however since he and Ginny were distantly connected to Voldemort through the Peverell line, Harry assumed that this ability had been recessed within their genes for many generations, finally becoming apparent in their son James. Far from enjoying this ability, James developed a near hatred of snakes, not liking their cold-blooded ways. One could surmise that this is the result of Harry’s reaction upon discovering that his son was a Parselmouth. After all, it did drag up some rather awful memories for James’ father.

Ability Desired: Metamorphmagus
A Detailed History Behind Said Ability: Santana is fascinated with the ability to metamorph, changing your body into anything is amazing. This ability is passed down the girls side of the family. But it skips a generation. She got it form her grandmother, who got it form her grandmother. She feels at piece when she metamorphs because to her it's like an invisibility cloak, no-one can recognise you.

Name: Mystique McKay
Age: 23
Ability Desired: Telekenisis
A Detailed History Behind Said Ability: Mystique discovered her ability at age 11, the average age for this ability to start functioning in her family. She was running away form a bully, and frantically started waving her hands around, next she knew the bully had 13 rocks gouged into his skin. This ability works in if you can think of a zig zag, it passes down that way so. Mystique - Father - Grandmother - Great Grandfather - Great Great Grandmother and you get the picture.

Name: Iris Demetria Ayala
Age: 17
Ability Desired: Nonverbal Magic, Apparation, Occlumency
A Detailed History Behind Said Ability:
Nonverbal Magic: Iris is a true Ravenclaw girl, you can say that. Her grades mean the world to her and she spent most of her free time studying.
After lots of practise and many sleepless nights, reading books about Nonverbal Magic and help from older Ravenclaw friends who agreed to practise with her, she is able to do basic spells without saying anything. She is still trying to get better and better every day.
Apparation: Demetria attended in apparation classes last year and at the end of the year, she did apparation exams and passed them.
Occulumency: Demi's aunt Desirae Evans taught her that. She is a Death Eater and great in occulumency and legilimency as well, but she disagreed to learn her how to use legilimency, she says that Demi is too young for this, but she still needs to be able to protect herself from someone, who is trying to use her memories to do something cruel. Ironic, huh?

when you get a chance, iris, please add how your character got those abilities. not all of those are simply inherited. tell us how she got those skills, please.

I was hoping to add Occlumency to Jack'

Name: Jaquellene "Jack" Dyllan
Age: 19
Ability Desired: Occlumency
A Detailed History Behind Said Ability: It seems natural that when Jack was leader of Potter's Army, as well as the student liaison to the Order of the Phoenix, the information she was given needed to be guarded. Though the instruction was hastily given, Jack was instructed on this ability. Though her Empathy does work against this skill, for her spirit (if you will) instinctively lashes on to the emotions of others, she has used this as sort of a roadblock if people try to break into her mind. Someone trying to penetrate her mind have a few layers of their own emotions to get through. Jack has nowhere near mastered the skill, but is competent and working daily to improve it.

I left this out while she was in Hogwarts as we had a limited number of abilities and Empathy became important to her character. While in Hogwarts, her mastery of this ability would have been small, but I can incorporate her attempting to strengthen it if it is accepted.

Ability Desired: Telepathy
A Detailed History Behind Said Ability: Christopher is very interested abut Telepathy. He knew it was a very advanced skill, and probably not very popular among students. It took Chris 2 years to be able to use this skill in general, but a few months to learn how to use it wisely. He read about it in a book while doing homework in the library, and it fascinated his very core. To be able to sense someone what they felt, smelt, saw etc, was just amazing to Chris and he had to learn how to use this ability. He went straight to the Headmaster, and almost demanded he taught Chris this spell. It took a lot of time to channel his energy into to almost someone else's, but he did the hard-miles, and he's finally learnt how to use and teach this skill wisely.
