Answering the riddle with less effort than normal, it seemed that being in a rush really did make her mind think more. Hoping no one would be in the common room, Ginevra crept in with one bag around her shoulder, planning to go right up to the dorms, drop her stuff off and then go wash up. Stopping as she walked through the doorway though, it didn't seem her luck had changed, as people were still there.

Topher walked into the common room. He was out of breath. He wasn't sure why but his cheeks were red, and he was exhausted. The last thing that he remembered was falling asleep in the boys dorm, and then he woke up in the Great Hall. "Hey everyone." he said collapsing onto the floor.

Izzie entered the ravenclaw common room for the first time and smiled. She breathed in the air deeply and exhaled silently. She walked in further and looked around. She felt comfortable. She looked at those around her and waved uncertainly. "I'm Izzie Stevens" Izzie croaked.

"Hello Izzie!" Called Sterling excitedly, almost falling off of the chair he had previously been practicing his Charms homework in. Embarrassed, he righted himself and turned deliberately toward her. "How are you?"

Davina walked into the common room. She didn't really know what to say to anyone, she wasn't the most outgoing person in the world. She sat on a chair near a couple of other students. "Hi, I'm Davina." she said, trying to speak clearly. Her fellow Ravenclaws wouldn't make fun of her for studying, she hoped.

"Oh, hullo Davina," Sterling said, attempting to be friendly as he noted the entrance of a fellow Ravenclaw into the common room. However, he was practicing Aguamenti nonverbally, half hoping it wouldn't work. He was always irritable when he was studying. "How are you?" he said conversationally.

Davina had her books on her lap. She really wanted to study but she thought she better be friendly and get to know other people in her house. That was what her parents wanted, anyway. "I'm good thanks, you?" she replied, not saying anything out of the ordinary. She wondered what his name was, but didn't want to ask.

"Good," he continued awkwardly. He had now abandoned his charms homework and turned to face Davina properly. He really would have preferred to retreat to study hall on the 6th floor, but knew that his popular older sisters would never forgive him if he rejected a social situation for homework once again, as he did so often. "Er, my name's Sterling by the way." he said. "Your's?" he asked, until he realized that he already knew her name. He tried to remember how it was that he already knew her name, but let go of the thought.

Davina forced a smile, hoping it wasn't too obvious, though it probably was. She put her books down on the table, realising she wouldn't be able to study now. Her parents would be proud of her for starting a conversation, at least. "Nice to meet you, I'm Davina." she responded, wondering if he'd already forgotten her name. Maybe he was feeling as awkward as her, but she didn't think that was possible. "You doing much?" she asked, noticing he had some work out.
