So... First Impressions!?

Jack pocketed Nemo's wand a bit numbly, staring at her pocket a moment. It appeared she was thinking, regrouping, evident by the look of concentration on her face. But Jack wasn't. She was merely standing there, absorbing, adapting, attempting to force herself to feel nothing. She could feel Whight near her and, when he spoke, she raised her head to look at him.

"No," she said. "There's nothing to do. I'll send a dispatch to the Aurors and they'll be looking for him. I'll let Matt know and the Order will look for him- if they're capable," she said, a tad bitterly. She shook her head, rebuttoning her coat. "There's nothing any of us can do right now."

Whight did not want Jack's depression to set in completely. He felt he needed to keep things moving, keep Jack going before she began to lose hope.

"If we have reached a dead end maybe we should return to Diagon Alley to help everyone there. I feel we have some obligation to help our fellow companions in such a time of need."

Whight extended a hand to Jack half expecting her to turn it down. "There's nothing more we can do for your friend today, but take comfort in knowing I'll be here to help you along the way. Let us go now and lend a hand where we know we will be needed."

Jack didn't want to go back to Diagon Alley. She had to start transitioning into her life as a Death Eater, and to be seen so openly... But she supposed she could say she was trying to maintain a reputation. But having to work and sweat for others while she crumbled within... But what? Jack had become quite accustomed to his, really. No one had offered a helping hand when she struggled under Vito's manipulation, the guilt of Thaor's fake suicide, the stress of her job, the death of Chase, the attempts at self destruction from Nemo. She had continued on just like always

She knew she was going to do it. She just hated the fact that she knew she had no other choice.

Jack nodded. "Okay." She reached out and took Whight's hand.
