Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Politics and Firewhiskey Empty Politics and Firewhiskey

Post by Susan Bones Wed Jul 18, 2012 2:05 am

Susan ordered a drink as she sat down at the bar in the Leaky Cauldron. She deserved a drink after all she puts up with work and her teenage kids. She wasn't big on drinking but some days she just needed a drink or two. Just a bit of something helps in times like these.

She was concerned about the future. The future her children would be living in. She didn't want her grandchildren living in fear or her kids getting killed by dark wizards and witches. She isn't afraid to voice her opinion on what is going on, what will happen and how they can change things. If someone didn’t say it no one ever would.

“A round for the house,” she said seeing there weren’t too many people in the Leaky Cauldron anyways.

Post by Kirby P. Byron Wed Jul 18, 2012 9:30 pm

Kirby's drink had run low speaking to the wizard next to him. The man, a man that went by Doyle, had been vainly trying to convince Kirby that, besides the strange green virus going about, the magical world was at its peak and flourishing well. Finally Kirby cur him off, "Doyle, you're forgetting to consider the magical world beyond this country! How is France, Russia, America, Brazil- I mean have you ever considered the way their political climates affect us?"

Doyle turned ashen and mumbled something about patriotism, and Kirby drank the last of his Firewhiskey. "No. And besides. If it was our peak, that means a decline is on the horizon. I still think we have some major tragedy and then we'll really begin to fall." Suddenly, the bartender refilled their drinks and pointed out the cause of the extra round.

Kirby fixed his eyes on the woman, a clever looking witch who was sitting alone. He looked at the bartender and said, "Tell her to come sit with us and chat, as a thanks for the drink."

Post by Shiera C Starr Tue Sep 18, 2012 11:30 pm

By no means had Shiera stumbled into the popular pub by accident. Truth be told, she had been passing the Leaky on her way to and from various locations around London quite often but only today had she ventured in. And it seemed to be a good day to enter a bar as no sooner had she taken a seat than a drink was brought to her by the barkeep.

Sweeping a professionally highlighted strand of hair behind an ear, the witch turned her head slightly to smile her thanks at the woman responsible for her free drink. How friendly should one appear to a stranger who had just bought them liquor? she wondered idly. as her eyes traveled across the dimly lit pub, finally landing on a stack of newspapers on a trolley in the corner. Shiera gestured for a waitress to bring her one.
