GENERAL APPEARANCE: Watching Monroe puts one in mind of a waterbird. His movements are awkward and precise, almost as though he's thought them out in advance, which may very well be the case. However this impression can be deceptive, since at times he can also be quite graceful, such as when he turns with the poise of a ballerina to flick his wand in your direction and cast a spell with unerring precision.
Like all his siblings, Monroe's hair is dark and his eyes a striking blue. Unlike the others, his appearance is cultivated to the highest standards at all times. When one sees him out of uniform, he will almost certainly be wearing a well tailored suit.

Monroe is the cool, calm and collected type. Monroe is the person you turn to in a crisis. If he doesn't know what to do, he'll know the person who does.
In fact, Monroe Ashcroft seems to know everyone. He's best friends with muggleborn and pureblood alike; he even knows every first year by name. However, strangely for someone so well known, not many people seem to know much about him. Most of what people know about Monroe comes in the form of speculation and rumours about his notorious family.

Early Years:
Monroe grew up in the draughty corridors of Connistone Hall where, along with the rest of his siblings, he was allowed to do more or less as he pleased.
His learning before Hogwarts was dictated only by his interests or by the outings his parents organised to museums and galleries across the country.
Hogwarts Years:
Throughout his time at Hogwarts, Monroe made sure to keep his head down and his nose clean. His siblings made things difficult enough for everyone, after all, and although he knew they wouldn't thank him for it, he felt a family obligation to look out for them. And at times, to look out for the people their actions inadvertently effected.
In seventh year, Monroe has an impeccable academic record and many people he can rely on, if not exactly trust. He remains "too busy" to look for love, and in any case it would take a brave girl to make a pass at someone related to Destrey.
Adulthood:
After graduation, Monroe obtained an internship with the Department of Magical Beasts and Beings at the Ministry of Magic.
