GENERAL APPEARANCE: Destrey likes being noticed. Except when she's doing something she oughtn't; then she likes her brother, Shylock, to be noticed instead. She exudes an air of confidence wherever she goes and there's something a little bit staged about her actions, as though she's putting on a show for everyone around.
Of course, she shares the Ashcroft signature dark hair (carefully tousled in her case), blue eyes and pale skin combination, but while Destrey is almost as tall as Monroe and Shylock - standing at 5'10" - she also boasts a slender yet womanly figure that she fancies is the envy of every girl in the school. A figure that is merely accentuated by her constant modifications of the school uniform.

PERSONALITY:
Destrey is the prototypical bully. Other students pick on one another with a goal in mind. Destrey picks on people because she can. She doesn't even need a reason, just an excuse.
With a conscience like a steel trap; rusted shut, Destrey has no middle gears. What she thinks of, she invariably does, eventually. She is not stupid, however (though she is not so clever as she believes, either), and can be remarkably patient in waiting to strike when nobody is looking considering her volatile mood swings.
Despite this, Destrey can be superficially nice, and actually has some friends, although most of her time is spent hanging out with her brother, Shylock. This is less because of any familial affection on their part than from Shylock's conviction that he is responsible for her.
Attempts by her family to curb Destrey's behaviour have all so far been fruitless. Appeals to her good side fall short, since so far as anyone has been able to tell, she doesn't have one. A truly selfish person, there is nobody other than herself that Destrey genuinely cares about. She does, however, treat people like her belongings and this possessiveness has been misinterpreted as affection before.

CHARACTER HISTORY

Early Years: Coming from the eccentric Ashcroft family, Destrey's early years were likewise full of eccentricity. Her parents took an active interest in their children's education and Destrey's childhood was full of trips to museums and art galleries.
The Ashcroft children were allowed to pursue anything that interested them rather than following any sort of plan and many argue that this is the reason for their wildness.
Hogwarts Years: Hogwarts has never sat well with Destrey. There were too many rules, too many people to listen to, too much of everything. She quickly earnt herself a reputation as a troublemaker, though not as much of a troublemaker as her brother.
All of the Ashcroft children are the product of surrogacy, so although Destrey and Shylock aren't twins, they did start school at the same time and Destrey delights in setting him up to take the fall for her misdeeds. When she was younger people even felt sorry for her being related to him, although now the two tend to be viewed with the same suspicion.
