Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Charms Class Empty Charms Class

Post by Jess Potter Sat Apr 14, 2012 10:38 am

Jess walked into his classroom, his arms full of crap (almost literally, junk was probably a better term there) and dumped it all on one of the forward tables, before pushing it into a more central position and neatly spreading out some of the items. On it was a small blue figurine, a deflated football, a torn up newspaper, a red garden gnome, a blue cardboard box and a muggle DVD case, as well as a golden pocket watch (to name a few)

He then turned to the board and magically set the chalk up to write down the day's lesson topic, but instead just sent it whizzing around the room at high speeds. Frowning he sneezed and picked it up, writing on the board by hand instead. How very odd, he was normally quite good at writing with magic.

Charms Class Empty Re: Charms Class

Post by Aleksa Carlevaro Sat Apr 14, 2012 11:14 am

Damitrius ran down to the Charms class quickly. She had only just left her dorm, even after waking up quite early to get ready. That was because something was wrong with her magic, it was weird. Her hair had been a huge mess of curls when she woke up so she had tried to straighten it out and make it neat, but something had gone wrong and she had nearly blown herself up. She had stared at her wand for a while before she put it away and tried her best to straighten her hair out without magic.

Not that hard a task.

As she approached the Charms classroom, she let out a soft sneeze and pushed the door open. She looked around and sighed. She had accomplished what she wanted; to be first in the class. This was her favorite class so she liked being first for it. Damitrius smiled and walked in. "Good morning Professor Potter." she smiled at him, before walking to her seat.

Charms Class Empty Re: Charms Class

Post by Alexander Greengrass Sat Apr 14, 2012 11:27 am

Serena shuffled into the charms class room coughing and yawning. Being in class made her wonder why the day started so early. It had to be like two in the morning or something. Sitting in one of the desks she lay her head down on the surface in front of her only to feel a flattened football instead of the wooden desk she was suspecting. Lifting her head slightly she glared at the thing then lay her head on the desk again her hair surrounding her doll like face. “Morning Professor,” she grumbled into the desk as her eyes fluttered closed for a minute until she started coughing again.

Jess smiled and waved as the girls entered his class, frowning only a little as Serena ignored the desk he'd purposely moved away from the rest of the class and decided to go to sleep on it, resting her head on one of the portkeys he'd set up.

Simple solution though, picked up each of the items and replaced them out on his own desk. "Good morning girls, welcome to class," he said

Charms Class Empty Re: Charms Class

Post by Samuel Grigori Sun Apr 15, 2012 2:28 am

Sam walked into the classroom, a grin on his face and books under his arm... ready for a whole new day of learning...

yehno.

He was actually quite sleepy, he was ill (as was everyone else it appeared) and had been kept up half the night coughing and hacking... in all honesty he felt quite dead. The smile was right though, he was trying to keep appearances up in that regard. At least he wasn't turning green, like poor old Danny in the bed across from his.

Poor bugger.

"Morning all," he mumbled, walking into his first period Charms lesson and taking a seat in the middle of the classroom, before looking around properly. "What's with all the junk on.... Oh, portkeys, wicked," he said, straightening up in his chair a little. It seemed like this lesson would actually be useful this time

Charms Class Empty Re: Charms Class

Post by Caspian Ivanov Sun Apr 15, 2012 1:15 pm

Atticus walked into the Charms classroom somewhat tired. He hadn't been able to sleep during the night at all. He kept tossing and turning with body aches and that infernal cough and rash that wouldn't allow him even a second of sleep. Of course he didn't have it as bad as some of the other guys in his dorm. He actually felt quite bad for those guys.

At least he had been able to get up and out of bed. Some weren't that lucky. They had to stay in bed because they didn't even have the strength to get up. The illness was spreading quickly, even faster than some had expected. Since he was still in school, he told Khaat that he would tell her anything that happened In Hogwarts that was related to the illness.

He coughed as he looked around the class. "Morning everyone." he said. Atticus walked to his seat near the back of the class and yawned. He rubbed his eyes gently and sighed. How he wished he'd gotten even a little bit of sleep.

Charms Class Empty Re: Charms Class

Post by Orla Hughes Sun Apr 15, 2012 3:47 pm

There was little life left in the castle, Cerelia observed. It was from the top of the staircase just outside of the Ravenclaw common room that she watched people shuffle wearily towards whichever class their schedules dictated their presence at. The blonde girl had not experienced much of Hogwarts since her time there but what she had seen was the determination of the health of many students. She herself felt find apart from the sniffles that were affecting her but that, she was sure, was because of the post-winter bugs that went around in Britain. She’d even gone to see the matron in the Hospital Wing and the woman had told her that there was no alarm - something that Cerelia was infinitely pleased about. She did not dare tell anyone about her fortune though. She kept her mouth firmly shut on that and tried to advise her ailing brothers as best she could in between her classes. They had been bedridden for days and no longer did it seem practical for them to stay at Hogwarts. St. Mungo’s was next for them and though it terrified her, Cerelia knew there was no place better for them. Until she could help, though, her place was at Hogwarts - in her classes, studying for her O.W.L examinations.

Cerelia picked her bag up from where she’s set it down upon emerging from the Ravenclaw common room. She placed it gently on her shoulder, mindful of it just in case the feather-light charm was to break at that moment. Cerelia then drew her robes closer around her and made her decent down from her common room for the second time that morning, this time down to the second floor where, if her directions were correct, she would find her Charms class. Hardly a soul noticed the blonde-haired Ravenclaw and that was exactly how she wanted it. Her descent was light, her footsteps barely a flutter on the steps, and once she reached the second floor she paused and inquired to one of the portraits as to the location of the classroom. The portrait, a 14th Century oil of an unnamed woman, looked far from impressed but directed Cerelia after a moment of deliberation as to whether she would in fact direct the girl. Cerelia managed a small smile for the woman and thanked her before passing through the door and heading down the corridor, pleased to find some other students were heading that way too.

Upon opening the door to her classroom, Cerelia found a mishmash of students from all years and houses, making the girl wonder as to whether she’d reached the correct room or not. She recalled at Durmstrang the classes were sorted depending on age group and she wasn’t particularly pleased with the idea of trying to study for her O.W.L’s with a group of first and second years. Had she been anywhere else the elder students would have agreed with her sentiment but this, Cerelia reminded herself, was Hogwarts - anything went at Hogwarts, anything at all. There was nothing that could be done to save her O.W.L results at this point. She was a capable student, this much she knew, but if she was going to rely solely on classes then she would not achieve. Cerelia knew that there would be a need for more than a few trips to the library over the coming months.

The girl plastered a smile across her face, her father’s voice rattling around in her head instructing her to wipe “that surly look off of her face.” Cerelia stepped forward before walking with a slight spring in her step down through the main aisle between the desks, dropping her eyes momentarily to her timetable before lifting her gaze to the face of the Professor whose youth made her momentarily doubt his experience. Then again, she assured herself, it is not as if it is Dark Arts or the Defence of. He does not really need such a practical experience. They’re only really qualifications in Charms. Any idiot can do it. Cerelia held her time table between them and looked at the Professor hesitantly.

“Are you Professor Potter, sir? That would mean that I am in the right room, yes?” Cerelia brought the schedule up to her face to read out what it said. “Charms. Second floor. Professor J. Potter.” Cerelia paused momentarily before glancing up at him again. “Do forgive me for being so forward sir but, suppose you are Professor Potter, you wouldn’t be related to Harry Potter would you?”

Charms Class Empty Re: Charms Class

Post by Maddie Kane Sun Apr 15, 2012 3:55 pm

Cecilia Krum sauntered into the charms class room dressed in her upgraded school uniform. She wore a black leather skirt with tulle, a white long sleeve button down shirt which she tucked in, a black vest, her school robs and her Ravenclaw tie. She also had on a large creamy white belt, creamy white stilettos with a black heel and lace decorating the toe, and black stockings which covered the green rash that grew on her legs. In her ears there were mustache earrings with little faces on them, which Simi matched the necklace and ring she wore. She had obviously spent time on makeup and her hair before coming to class and she had even surprised herself in not being late. “Good Morning Professor,” She nodded to him and shook her head at the sleeping and sick first year.

Charms Class Empty Re: Charms Class

Post by Jess Potter Sun Apr 15, 2012 9:26 pm

"Good morning Atticus," Jess replied as the Slytherin boy walked in. He looked quite warn out, and more than a little ill... he looked like Jess felt. "Here," he muttered, walking from the front of the class to Atticus' desk, placing a small vial on it and nodding "Drink it," He instructed, turning around and walking back to his place, and missing the entry of two more students.

"Oh, hello there," he replied as Cerelia spoke - she was the new girl from Durmstrang, if he remembered correctly. "Certainly, this is the right classroom. He then felt his face go a tiny bit red, and he shuffled his feet around a little bit. "Distantly, yes," he replied, before quickly changing the subject.

"You're Cerelia, right, from Durmstrang?" He asked, "Cerelia Avery?" he repeated, a faint glimmer of recognition, and even a little accusation appearing in his face for a second as he spoke the surname. There were plenty of Averies in the world, why would she necessarily have been related to... but she did go to Durmstrang...

How interesting

"I think we'll start in a minute everyone, if you'll please get your wands, books and writing gear out, that would be great," he told them, taking his seat and jotting down how many points needed to go to who for turning up on time.

Charms Class Empty Re: Charms Class

Post by Judd Lewis Sun Apr 15, 2012 10:57 pm

Judd was going to be late. Foster and Ellie realized this a split second after he took off for Charms, skidding around corners to reach the classroom in time. His two best friends burst into a full sprint to follow, still bickering about this or that. Ellie had been in softball league when she was young, so she easily kept up with the two gangly boys. Sure, they all thought they were big-bad, cool seventh years, but the Ravenclaw attitude bore into them as well- they had to get to class.

Judd reached the door first and yanked it open. Ellie went in first, and came in explaining, "Sorry, professor. Our last class was on the other side of the castle and we caught a wrong staircase- it's been a nightmare. It won't happen again, I assure you." Judd had always been impressed with the speed in which Ellie managed to conjure lies. They had just been talking.

There was someone else sitting at their usual table of three. Foster was already taking a seat and some boy was looking Ellie up and down. Judd moved for the chair next to Foster, but Ellie dove into it, giving the boy who had checked her out a look of triumph. She looked at Judd and shrugged. He turned and saw Professor Potter speaking to the new girl, who sat alone. He shifted his bag and walked over, sitting down next to her.

He had caught her name being spoken by Potter. "Cerelia? Hi, I'm Judd. You don't mind if I sit here, do you?" His hands moved automatically to retrieve all that the professor has asked them to fish out.
