"Let's keep the cold fluids coming, Jess," Brian said. "Her fever has gone up. This is not just a cold. St. Mungos is running over with it. Whatever this is, its looking like an epidemic to me."
"Well, if I already have it, then there is no reason why I should not go back to work, then," Khaat said.
"Don 't be stupid," Brian sighed. "First of all, you cannot possibly feel like working."
"I don't. But Daddy needs help there."
"Then we'll help him. You're not the only other healer in England. And second, we don't know how people are getting it. We don't need you spreading it."
"Then you don't need me here to spread it to the kids either. You know,..." she began thinking.
He lifted her face to look at him. "Now you look at me," he said firmly. "Whatever hairbrained thoughts you have about running off and doing something stupid like trying to live in a cave to save the kids, or whatever else you have in that head of yours. Just stop it. Your home is here with me. If its contagious, the kids and all the rest of us are already exposed. You save them nothing. Do yourself a favor and rest. Before I bind your powers so you can't do something stupid."
