Money system restart

I haven't seen anything around like that myself. May be some one should make it ?

I'm sorry there appears to be confusion here, but what Jess is talking about are the listings for each individual job. Look under the character building section. There is a subforum there called Jobs Enlistment. In that subforum are jobs, and they are, for the most part, organized by location. Different job ranks earn different salaries. I think you're getting hung up on cultural semantics. When we, as players, come from all different places on the globe, we refer to the same things with different terms. I think that's what we're running into here. What Jessy calls a job sheet might be, in America, a 'help wanted ad', and on PA they're job enlistments.

We don't need to make anything new here. We only need to get on the same page with our terminology in our communication to each other.

As far as vaults, could we opt to have user vaults? Like one vault for all of your characters? Just an idea, because my main apprehension at doing that is not being able to remember to get all of my characters or whatever. So long as it's organized and makes sense, you know?

Bah, PA is eating my posts, I replied to this with a link to the job enlistments page quite awhile back. I don't call them job sheets, I don't know where that came from, I call them job enlistments, because that's what they are.

But it's all good now, just in case, here is a link to the jobs enlistment forum.

As for user based accounts, the idea was that it would be an IC thing, not an OOC thing. The problem I have with one account pp would be that most likely the amount of money going to each account would get mixed up, and people would fail to declare their characters. If the multiple character list had worked more effectively I would be more inclined to consider this, but at the moment it would be a bit of a logistical nightmare for the admins.

But my advice, if you can't remember who your characters are, you have too many. Delete delete delete.

It's not that I can't remember, I just get discouraged thinking about going through posts to do it. I keep my characters as active as I am (aka when I'm not active, they're not) but doing the OOC stuff gets crazy. I know that if I had it all in one spot I'd keep up better and I could easily make a template to keep each money count separate.

Also, a problem I've come across. I keep my character's shops active... but no one is posting in them. People mention visiting them in other threads but never RP in the actual shop buying things. People rather RP social interactions inside rather than buying. Could I enter NPC type transactions if I RP them out?

Well, I understand the concern, but we open it up for one then everyone will want it, and to be honest, it goes against the idea of the system - an IC vault.

So I don't know, I'll think it over today, but I don't feel particularly positive about it at this early stage.

As for the NPC thing, definitely, that's a great idea. Just don't have them making hundred galleon transactions at a time xD

Okay, just a thought.

And good. It's ridiculous that my character is a Head of Department and has 2 stores and is making no money. xD I'll wait for the restart though to jump on in. I think a restart is a great idea.
