Life could be cruel sometimes. This is what Sammy now believed as she watched her kids become more and more sick over the last few weeks. It started as a common cold. Sammy decided to come out of school for only a week in order to help her kids get well again. But then it lasted longer than that, and now she was doing homework at home in order to still graduate. This is what you would find Sammy doing at home at this very moment, sitting on the couch in her pink and purple, plaid pj's and a baby monitor on the coffee table in front of her. Sammy had a huge box of clean-x next to her and a trash can full of napkins in it on the floor next to her. In the bedroom next to the living room, was her three kids, sleeping soundly. Or so Sammy thought. Jazmine the oldest, age of 3 was laying in her little bed passed out from her high fever. It had only just spiked or Sammy would have known about it. In the same room across from Jazmine, was the twins in their seperate cribs. Zack and Sophia, ages 1. Zack was on his side facing his sister Sophia. They both had buggers coming out of their noses, and both a sleep.
The coughing came out of no where and it came with a strong urge to throw up, so she ran to the bathroom as fast and quite as she could. She closed the door behind her softly, and started to face the toilet, when there was a knock at the door. Sammy would have gone to answer it quickly when her knees buckled and she faced the toilet and started throwing up. After a second or two of throwing up, Sammy stood up and stepped to the sink and washed her mouth out. Sammy then walked out of the bathroom and headed to the front door looking paler and more sickly than she ever had, with sweat beads on her forehead from a slight fever. Sammy was unsure how much longer she would be able to stay awake on her own free will.
