The girl was not speaking much, which was a relief for Jack since she had had a long night the night before sending memos out to the entire department. However, this could be a bad sign, as the sales team seemed the best when they were all extroverts. However, Kirsty had been nearly silent during her interview and she was top salesperson.
She briefly responded, in a curt but friendly voice. Jack nodded, turning back to see the girl had pulled her hair up and tied the apron onto her person. Good, she was getting down to business. "Right," she said. And suddenly, the girl asked if the shop got business. Jack raised her eyebrow, wondering if the girl had ever been to the shop. "Oh, yes."
Jack cleared her throat. "Anywho. If after a week or two and it seems this job is a good fit, we'll get your bio published- the customers like to get to know the salespeople for whatever reason." She walked to the next room, assuming the girl would follow, her wand touching shelves to animate displays. "Mostly, you'll just be helping. Leave the till work to Gary, Kirsty, or Andy. You'll get more responsibilities soon enough, I'm sure."
