Settling In

It felt strange, taking Zoe's job after everything the woman had done for her. But Zoe had seemingly disappeared off the face of the earth, and the job could not simply go without being taken over. Honestly, Jack knew that Zoe would have picked her as her replacement, so in that respect, she knew she had done the right thing to accept the position. And besides, she was well versed in all aspects of the job. She felt she could do it well.

That and the fact that she practically slept in the office.

Zoe's stuff had been packed up and stored safely, restored easily within the second it took to wave her wand. But Jack's office was a little different. There was a desk, sure, and the spinny chair. But there was also a couch and a cage, as well as a tank for whatever creatures she was personally supervising. The room connected to a class room where she and her team on interns could work on harder cases. A huge whiteboard ran the length of one of the walls, and she had a bunch of information posted.
