Going to visit an old friend

Damon was dressed in a long black cloak with the inside the color of hunter's green. He was wearing dark blue jeans and a t-shirt as he walked up to the mansion. 'Not much as changed since the last time i was here visiting her.' he thought looking at Christy's house smiling to himself. When he first came to her house it was three years ago, he was new to the German Ministry and had no friends. She befriended him when no one else would, they would talk about everything and they would hang out after work. Damon shook his head to clear it as he walked up the drive, he reached the front door step and knocked upon the door. He wondered if she was home at all today, he wondered if he should have owled her before dropping in on her. What if she was busy doing things for her father at the Ministry? He sighed deeply knowing he should have sent her an owl before coming to see her but after years of not seeing her, he realized that he missed her.

Christabelle made it to the door at the same time the house elf did. Opening it, she shoved her house elf away, still in her pajamas from the night before. She quickly pulled a robe around her nightgown, "Damon." she said blushing slightly. "What are you doing here? is it getting to be too much working for Grindelwald?" She moved to the side holding the door open. "Come in, come in." she added as she tucked a stray curl behind her ear.

"Wow, you look great." she said looking at him now that she could actually see him. "Sorry I just woke up, are you hungry?" she asked curiously. "We just got breakfast ready if you're hungry."

Damon laughed softly as he walked in the door and said, "You look great even if you just woke up. I thought i'd come see you. I don't wanna impose on you." On impulse he wrapped his arms around her and hugged her close then he let go smiling his crooked smile. "So, what have you been up to Christy?" Damon asked smiling. He was starting to get a little nervous as he always did when he was around her. He looked down wondering what he was she was gonna say and if would laugh at him for hugging her, but the truth was he missed her.

Christy smiled and hugged him back, "Other than the lack of sleep from running the ministry here I guess I've been ok." she replied hugging him back tightly. "Been pretty much a lone wolf since my dad died a few years ago. Right after you left actually." She pulled back only slightly, looking at him. "I've been meaning to take a trip back to England but I just haven't had the time to do anything lately. What about you?" she asked curiously. She missed him so much but she was embarrassed to say anything.

Damon looked at her then looked down, "I'm sorry that your dad died, i should have been there for you. I'm sorry i left you. I've been moving from place to place never being able to sit still. Then i finally landed myself in London." He said softly ashamed. Damon smiled softly and finally gathered his courage, "I missed you Christy." He took up her hand and kissed it softly. He knew he probably get smacked for that but he thought that it was worth the pain to do so. "So would you like to get dressed and meet me in the dining room? Or should i wait for you to get down here and we'll walk there together?" He said softly.

She blushed as he kissed her hand and proceeded to tell her that he missed her. She playfully smacked his arm. "You know better than to pull that polite society thing with me." she replied laughing a little bit. Looking up at him she backed away and moved towards the stair case. "I'll be down in just a moment. You can go a head and go to the dining room if you like."

Quickly she ran up the stairs, into her room. She didn't even bother to shut the door as she hurried to her vanity and quickly straightened out her hair before rummaging through her dresser for a tank top and a pair of jeans. She didn't dress fancy since she wasn't planning on being anywhere and her mind went back to Damon, downstairs. He had helped her so much and she didn't want to admit it but she really did miss him more than she should have.

She quickly made it downstairs and into the dining room, where almost anything a person could want was set on the table. "Sorry I know its not much but after all, you did show up with no notice or anything."

Damon went into the dining room, taking off his cloak laying it on an empty seat. He looked over at her entrance into the dining room and smiling his usual smile. "When i told i missed you i wasn't lying i meant it." He said blushing slightly at his own boldness. "And you look beautiful just as you always have. Besides i'm not wearing anything fancy." He gestured to his clothing which consisted of grey t-shirt and a pair of dark blue jeans. Damon walked over to her and grinned, "So how have you been since the last time i saw you? besides being tired." he asked softly.

"I know." she said smiling sweetly. "And thank you. Its good to hear that once in a while from someone. But I was talking about the food. I just keep enough out incase someone shows up." She moved a little bit more into the dining room. "You mean besides being starved?" she asked laughing as she sat down at the table and picked up a slice of bacon, "Busier than you can imagine. I don't see how one person can do all the work I'm doing. I don't understand how my father did it all by himself." She continued to help herself to some french toast and several slices of fruit. "But I would rather hear about you. My life is the same as its always been except I'm not running after Godric anymore like I did when we were kids."

Damon laughed and said, "Well i do have to say it is a wonderful selection of food you have." He sat down across from her and put same food she had on her's on his as well. He liked the same food she did most of the time, he ate some of it then looked up at her smiling. "When i left here i went from place to place helping other diplomats until they no longer needed my assistance then went to different ministries doing the same thing over again. I didn't know when i left this place how much i would miss it. Or how much i'd miss you." He said deciding that he would tell the truth with her just as he's always done.

"How much you'd miss me?" she asked looking at him curiously. "And just what do you mean by that?" she went on blushing. She had never let on her feelings but then again, everytime she did she felt like things took a turn for the worst for her. But this had been one person that she had never lied to. He knew everything about her. "But you know you are always welcome back here and the ministry...I'm sure I could use your help." she said smiling.
