The third year scoffed at the boys comment. "Of course I won't believe you. Why would I ever believe anything from someone like you?" she stated assertively. His playful tone irritated her, he sounded like all of this was a big game to him. Hitame wasn't about to let his tone fool her though. She knew better than to trust these Slytherins, all they ever did was cause trouble for her. Well all except Vashani. She was the only Slytherin who she was nice too. Vashani reminded her of Naomi in so many ways, it wasn't even funny. Hitame saw that girl as another little sister, and she told her that and even after she had been sorted into Slytherin, Hitame continued to think that way. She was a nice girl and the only real reason she had been sorted into Slytherin was because of her family.
"If you don't like it, then don't bother saying anything about her drawing." she said. Naomi lifted her head slightly only to see the boy looking at her and she glanced at him, her eyes showing sadness before she looked back down quickly. The boy seemed to really make Naomi uncomfortable now, he had always made her feel that way, most students do, but it was worse with this boy because he had hurt her feelings in a way he would never know he did. She sighed softly and glanced at her drawing, before pressing it up against her chest and hugging it tightly.
Hitame felt her body tense up when he stepped closer to her. Their bodies were only a few inches apart and it was making her uncomfortable. She didn't move though, she was not going to look like she was afraid of this boy. She had an image to uphold for her sister, Naomi always thought that Hitame wasn't afraid of anything that came her way, and she was going to keep it like this until there was really something that scared her. She looked up at his eyes and noticed that they were two different colors, it didn't bother her that they were like that and she just continued to glare at him.
Everything the boy was saying was something that she wouldn't expect to hear from a Slytherin. Especially the part of wanting to be in another house. Usually she wouldn't believe this type of talk from those students but he seemed to be telling the truth and her eyes widened just a little bit showing that she wasn't as angry as before. But of course she was still pissed at the fact that he had made her little sister cry. "You mean they look for purebloods?" she asked in a low tone. Her voice would have a little difficulty returning to her normal tone, but it would get there eventually. She remembered her adoptive mother telling her something about girls who look for pureblood guys to marry, after the two girls had found out they were witches. Of course she had also said something about guys looking for pureblood girls to marry as well. At that time Hitame didn't understand what she had meant by saying that, but now she knew. Zuki had said that because she knew that Hitame and Naomi were purebloods and once others knew about that they would be wanting to get something out of them, because of course they were rich though they didn't know it at the time.
The Gryffindor raised an eyebrow and scoffed at his answer to her question. "If you didn't want to make her cry, you shouldn't have said anything to her. My sister is very sensitive, especially when it comes to her drawings. Next time think before you say something." she stated simply. "Whatever problems you have might seem horrible to you, but just remember that their are people who have worse problems than you." she pretty much knew what she was talking about here, just by looking at hims he could tell that most of his problems had to do with others picking on him because he didn't want to be in Slytherin or something close to it. Just from that her problems were worse than his, thinking her parents were dead for thirteen years, then finding out they were alive, seeing her adoptive parents killed while she tried to run away with her sister, and having to raise Naomi on her own basically since they were little. "Kill yourself, huh?" she smirked. "Well join the club, I've tried to do that before and don't think I'm lying anyone will tell you that it's true, Naomi even witnessed it once and that was the last time I tried to do it." she said, suddenly hiding her arms. Up until now she had forgotten about all the pain she had felt, and suddenly she remembered everything Barker did to her during her detention with him, all the pain she felt, her hand began to burn when she thought of him digging his knife into her hand. The scar on her cheekbone began to sting when she remembered him cutting her there, but she didn't even flinch at the pain.
Naomi stared at Hitame with sad eyes as she remembered when she found Hitame trying to kill herself, she had already cut her wrist and the blood from the cut was on her clothes and she was just sitting in a corner of the room they were in saying she wanted to die. Naomi didn't know what to do, so the only thing she had done was hug her sister and apparently it was enough because she was still here with her now. "It's true. She did try to kill herself before..." was all Naomi said before she looked back down at the ground. The younger girl saw a little drop of blood fall onto the ground and her eyes widened. All the blood she had seen around her sister flashed in her eyes and she stepped toward the two of them. Feeling a little insecure, Naomi pulled on Hitame's shirt and pointed to the boy's hand that had blood all around it. A moment of uncertainty in what she should do passed and finally Hitame grabbed his hand and she took out a handkerchief she carried it around, she told Naomi to rip two pieces of fabric from it and when she had the two pieces in her hand she tied them around his hand tightly to stop the blood. She only did that because Naomi wanted to help. Even though he had hurt her, Naomi was still willing to help him, Hitame really admired that about her sister, but she also knew that that would be something dangerous for Naomi. Someone could take advantage of her forgiving nature to do something bad to her, knowing that she would forgive them for it afterwards.
