Friday Night Roleplay

When the room began to shake violently and the screams began, Hitame shut her eyes tight. More screams... One of the screams she heard from the room sounded like her mother's scream and she screamed along with it. Her eyed widened and she was about to let go of Brian's hand when he pulled her along with him. She was forced to close her hand tightly around his and she went along with him. When they reached and opened the door and there was nothing there but a wall, she stared at it blankly.

Rhys
"What?" He asked, scanning the room then shaking his head. "I don't see any stairs anywhere... you're probably just seeing things in the dark, this house only has two storeys," He told her, his voice slightly condescending. "I don't know what it is..." he then said, creeping towards the dark patch. "It looks bad though, don't touch it," he said slowly.

Hitame

Brian slammed the door shut and he gently tugged Hitame. "Come on." He said, turning around and running back to the door they came in. He ran his hand along the wall, the room still trembling, but he found no door. "What! The door is gone!" He was beginning to panic when the room finally stopped and silence fell over the room. It was completely dark except for a small light that was coming from what looked like an attic. He tightened his grip on Hitame's hand and then walked towards the light. "We need to get out of here." He whispered.

Sam

"Sam! Don't go near it!" Rhys hissed, holding his hand tighter, fear gripping her voice. She kept her footing at the entrance of the room, and glanced down the hallway. "I swear.. I see stairs over there.." She whispered, staring at the stairs. "Sam... I feel like something is watching us.." She said shivering, and then looked around. "How long do we have to stay in here anyway? Before we can find the backdoor? And.. who knows how long that will be.." She said frowning before she moved towards the door again, letting go of his hand. "Sam, I SWEAR! I see stairs.."

Allen had been down in Hogsmeade for the time being, enjoying the festivities, when he heard something coming from some house nearby. He hated the idea of wanting to go in there alone, but he had to do something, perhaps someone got hit by a fallen pillar or something! So against all of his moral fibers, he waltzed into the house, keeping himself in the dark places. Great idea Allen, you nitwit! he said, realizing that he hadn't even brought a flashlight. He kept himself near the wall, and crouched next to a grandfather clock, his body shaking too much to move on.

Rhys
"I feel it to," he muttered, squeezing her hand in response. "It's like the house itself is keeping tabs on us... I think we should find the others," he told her, moving to head back to the stairway with the intent of heading back downstairs when she let go of his hand. "There's nothing there," he yelled, losing sight of her in the distance, "you are seeing things. Don't be stupid and just come back," he screamed, his temper getting the better of him. She shouldn't have let go of his hand

Arden had been a little late gathering her costume that evening but when she finally did, she took a deep breath and regained her composure. She got to Hogsmeade and was doing a bit of people watching. She was trying to convince herself that it wasn't scary being here at night... alone... but as she did so, screams echoed through her ears and they were coming from a house that was very near her. She stood dumbstruck, unsure whether she should leave well enough alone or let her curiosity take over. As was usually the case, she found herself at the front door. She opened it and crept inside with quivering breath, letting the door shut not at all quietly behind her.

Sam

"I'm not being stupid!" She cried back at him, but she was suddenly frozen in fear. "Okay... Okay... Sam.." She stumbled backwards and grasped for his hand again. "Sam... Sam.... I'm scared." She whispered, gripping his hand and falling against his chest. "We need to get out of here.. please? Please.. I'm scared... I hate it.. the whole place feels alive... I don't want to be in here anymore, lets go." She said heading to the stairs again and stumbling down them.

"Helloooooooo?!" Keith shouted. "Helloooooooooo?! Helloooooo-dammit wall!" He shouted as he bumped into yet another wall. Walking around blindly was getting him nowhere.

Rhys
Sam felt a wave of relief crash over him as she grabbed his hand again and nodded. "I'm sorry, you're right though, we need to leave, screw this," he told her, following her but screaming as she disappeared into a solid patch of ground, falling, by the sound of it. He dropped to his knees and pounded on the wooden floor but it remained solid. The staircase had vanished.. for him at least
