Why don't the Aurors serve as the Wizengamot? Part of their duties?

I still think we should keep all we have. Compacting the site, I think, will not change posting......

Well it'll open posting opportunities, which opens activity when people are sitting there bored they'll have more people to RP with.

And having taken a peek, all I saw was Chase, you, Bran and in recent days, Sammy on an internship.

and not much of that seemed to be actual Job RPing, just RPing at a location.

Forgive me if I'm wrong there, or if I've missed something out in the field, but that sort of activity is the kind of sparse RPing that we're talking about wanting to end. Rather than have 4 people in each of the three departments we'd rather see 12 people active in the one office representing those departments, thus making those offices more active and inciting more posting.

Okay, I guess I'm going to just say it. Sometimes we get so caught up in what we want for our own characters that we lose sight of what our responsibilities are as staff. Jess's idea of condensing the board is a very good one for a multitude of reasons.

When posting falls off, the board looks very empty. Thats part of whats happening now. Its part of what discourgages current members from interacting and part of what keeps new members from joining. We need to get RID of ALL the locations that have not been used in the last 60 days. Perhaps be honest w/ members and tell them that if they want a location to stay, they need to get off their backsides and actually do some IC posting.

Second, we tried the various locations for classes that did not exist. It confuses new members. Get rid of them. We tried it, it didn'nt work. If our imaginations still work we can still create whatever location in that castle we want. And the same goes for the rest of the board. When the board is more condensed, it will be easier to find things and it will look more active.

That is one very powerful thing we can do to help make the site look more active and atrractive to current and past members. We all love our indiviidual characters and we are protective of them. Understandable. But, if we don't breathe some life into this site as a whole and remember our staffing duties as being separate from our IC desires, then we soon won't have a site to go to.

I say we make a list of those locations that we are going to perhaps purge and tell them that if they want to keep them, speak up or forever hold their peace.

It seemed like most of the post was in favor of the ideas I was suggesting (Condensing of the site) but then the last sentence proposed to just trim the fat and cut off a handful of forums.
