And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

What does Death Eater mean to you? - Page 5 Empty Re: What does Death Eater mean to you?

Thaor watched his fellow Death Eaters bicker amongst themselves, and chuckled to himself. When Ne'Os pulled a knife, Thaor instinctively grasped his wand, ready to curse the face right off of the man. Then Caelani spoke, Who's first? First for what? Thaor thought to himself.

He thought about all the things she could be having them do, swearing allegiance, maybe even a new dark mark?

Putting his trust in his leader, Thaor spoke up, I'll go first he said, taking a step forward, and bowing with his head towards Caelani.

Godric had stayed silent during the squabbling, and only when Caelani asked who wanted to go first did he speak, but much to his dismay, someone else had spoken up before him.

I'll go... He trailed off as the older man spoke. Very well, Godric thought to himself, I'll just be patient. All things come to those who wait. So patiently he sat, and studied the unrest around the room. Ne'Os with his dagger and vampire blood, Flint with his stories about being stabbed and shot, Sandra with her self confidence bordering on cockiness, Thaor, who seemed a little eager to please who ever was in power, and himself, whom every one probably thought was nothing more then a snot nosed little brat who was just filled with Angst.

And then there was her. Caelani, the new Dark Lady. Who obviously didn't see the merits of the past, and didn't seem to understand that some people will follow willingly with out treats.

Stupid kids, stupid school, why had she chosen that job? Oh yeah.. she needed a place to stay. Being a thief only got you so far. After that you had to have other ways of supporting yourself, and when she had been offered that no-brain job as a teacher at Hogwarts, well she had jumped on the chance of free food and lodging. Now, she was late to the Death Eater meeting. She raised her wand and the metal bars melted out of her way, and she stalked down the driveway towards the Malfoy Manor. Her hair was sleek down her back, and her traveling cloak swished around her feet as she walked swiftly. Stupid job, making her late for the one thing that kept her alive in the day.

Zara pushed open the front door and flicked her wand, letting it close behind her, before heading into the meeting room. She pulled off her cloak. "I'm late." She growled, glancing around the room. "Couldn't get away from the school." She said without caring if they understood or not. So she made her way over to an empty section between people, and conjured her own chair, staring at the lady in charge. "You the new boss, I'm Zara Ellis... Divination Teacher at Hogwarts.." She said lazily, glancing around the room, her eyes settling on the one man who caught her attention. Ne'Os Emof. The name sent shivers up her spine, but she only passed his figure in his chair, before looking around the room again, her eyes finally settling back upon the lady figure in charge.

Of course he would. Elldir and Archer had quickly established themselves as the power players in this group. Everyone else would have a hard time toppling them.

Caelani's right hand shot out to pull Thaor's left forward. She put her wand between her teeth for a moment while she pushed his sleeve up until the mark was showing, then aimed it at the tattoo.

She glanced back up into Thaor's eyes.

"This should only sting a little," she told him. "I'm not really replacing it; just changing it."

"Protus."

She held onto his arm, feeling it warm up slightly as the ugly skull and snake icon writhed and contorted to be replaced with a bough adorned with tiny clusters of yellow flowers.

Caelani smiled in satisfaction.

"There. Wormwood. You see, Bittel comes from the word bitter pill. Something you have to endure. Ironic, no? The original bitter herb was the gentian, and although it's a much prettier flower than wormwood, it would be such an obvious connection. Besides, you can all just tell people you really like absinthe if someone asks about this. It's the main ingredient."

All this had been said while admiring her work. Now, she looked back at Elldir.

"Do you want me to add something?" she asked. "A banner with your girlfriend's name on it? In fact, that might be perfect, we could all have a banner with someone's name on it wrapped around the branch and when we need to send a message we could just change the words..."

"Alright, Thaor, your ex-girlfriend's name was, um, Lee," she said. "Protus. Sorry, that probably hurts."

Thaor watched as Caelani reached out, and didn't hesitate when she rolled up his sleeve. A tingling sensation came over his arm as she changed his dark mark tattoo into a flower. Although he was relieved to be rid of the dark mark tattoo, a flower was not much better. Thaor however, willed himself to not pull out his wand and kill Caelani on the spot. He trusted her, and after all, she was their leader, she can choose what ever "logo" or symbol she wanted, that, and the fact he was outnumbered, twenty-to-one.

Thaor was already having visions of the unavoidable "crap" that was about to hit the fan, when Caelani tried to change everyone else's tattoos. The comments that would be made, and more than likely, a fight would break out.

Thaor grasped his wand inside his robe pocket, just waiting, and took a step back from Caelani when she was finished.

"Godric, I believe you wanted to be next?"

Caelani turned to the other young man who'd tried to volunteer at the same time as Thaorson.

((ooc: Just to speed things up, make it all easier, the rest of you can godmod Caelani changing the mark in your own posts. One of the side effects of the protean charm is that it causes things to get hot, so it should burn your character a bit, although they're probably used to that with the dark mark and all))

Sally stepped forward and rasied her head. "Ill go after Godric, Lord." She said not dareing to stare in the girls eyes. She knew that Caelani would be a rough and mean lord but Sally didnt care. She lived to serve a Dark lord and if Caelani was it then so be it. She had her left sleave rolled up and ready. Her old dark mark on her arm pulseing as if it was excited/ ready to be changed.

Flint was already against this "new mark", there was no way he was getting it done. But it seemed as though he had no choice really. He could cover it with some sort of charm he was sure. He sighed and looked at his new leader. "I suppose I may as well get it over with," he muttered and walked forward. "I'll go after this woman here, her name escapes me." he said. He gave the lady an apologetic look and mouthed 'sorry'. He knew this was not going to go over well. He already disliked the new leader but maybe his opinion would change. It'd be a snowball's chance in hell but it could.

Sally looked at the guy "Its Sally." She said telling him her name. "Its fine." She mouthed back. She waited patienly for Thor to be done and Godric to take his turn. She sighed quietly as it was taking forever and she wanted to have it over with as she really wasnt liking the new leader but she would have to put up with her for the time being.

Godric stepped forward, his face an unreadable mask. As Caelani put her wand to the old mark, and spoke the single word, his skin started to burn slightly. It was uncomfortable, but bearable. The snake and skull, twisted, contorted and settled into the image of Wormwood. As the name showed up, he looked down. Nondescript, and non gender specific. Alex. He shook his head to clear away the last of the effects of the spell, bowed his head slightly and stepped away.

He looked to Sally, and nodded once. Your turn Sally. His voice was monotone. His mind unfocused as he realized what he had just done. He had aligned himself with the Death Eaters yet again.
