Whishing

Marki had said she knew the squid, which it's name was Franklin apperently. Ivy liked that name, sounded nice. She saw Marki be tugged into the water, "Marki!" she screamed out and jumped up and ran to the waters edge to see Markis head pop up. 'See?!' she had said.

Ivy just staried at her and said,"Haveing fun?" she was trying hard not to laugh. She looked drenched but adorable. "Are you all right?" she called out.

Ivy seemed baffled by Marki's laissez-faire attitude concerning being pulled into a practically bottomless lake by a Giant Squid that she had so quaintly named 'Franklin.' Marki could see the girl's struggle to keep herself from laughing at Marki's ridiculous situation, hair sopping, smiling like a fool. It would drive even the most hard-hearted to grimace.

"Of course I'm fine!" Marki replied. "If I wasn't I'd be doing this." She began to flap her arms and writhe in the water, fake coughing and sputtering. "Help! Help, I'm drowning, help!" After her spazz attack she stopped and tread water, squinting at Ivy. "Like that. But I didn't." She laughed loudly, lying on her back, momentarily forgetting she had a show to put on- taming the Giant Squid.

Ivy started to laugh so hard when she was flailing around in the water. She couldn't help herself anymore it was too funny! She stopped, now just giggling to herself. She wished she could jump into the water and splash around with Marki. Oh how sh wished she would swim around and feel the cold water around her skin and have her hair fan out around her. "How's the water?" she asked Marki watching her just float n her back. She looked so peaceful and calm.

Marki shrugged her shoulders. "It's fine... Except that there is a ferocious beast inside the water that, waiting to bring revenge upon the nearest human!" She reached down and felt the tentacle nearby. She wrapped it around her waist and carefully began to tickle it. It jerked and lifted her into the air.

She let out a bellow and fake pummeled the squid with her fists. "FRANKLIN, NOOOO!" It released her and she fell three feet through the air and did a belly flop into the water. Ouch. She burst to the top and grabbed the tentacle, beginning to wrestle it. "Vile creature, I shall tame you!"

She and the tentacle fell under water. She stopped wrestling it and carefully stood on the tentacle and then tickled it again. It shot into the air and she broke the surface, circling her arms to keep balance. She was lifted five or six feet above the water and she managed to keep her balance. She lifted her foot and did a karate kick, carefully landing, though she wobbled. She smiled and bowed to Ivy.

Ivy saw the Squid pull Marki up into the air. Her mouth dropped and saw her hitting it with her fists. Ivy was speachless, she couldn't say a thing but, "OW!" when she saw Marki hit the water. She had done a belly flop into it...the one thing Ivy did not miss. She burts out of the water and began to wreastle with it. She was trying to tame the monster. "Go Marki Go!" Ivy cheered her on.

They went back under the water and Ivy waited, "Did he take her down to Davy Jones Locker?" she thought out loud when the tentacle and Marki came shooting out of the water. They went up about five or six feet in the air and Marki was still on. She did a karate kick, landed wobbling some what. She smilled to Ivy and bowed.

Ivy clapped for Marki and said, "Bravo! Bravo! Magnifisant!" Ivy was very impressed that Marki could do all of those stunts without falling. "Amazing!"

Marki smiled and bowed slightly, though this time she finally lost balance. It was the piece of straw that broke the camel's back and she let out a strangled scream as she wobbled forward, circling her arms like a mad woman before she plopped into the water, curling herself up into a ball and hitting the water, closing her mouth and sinking.

She opened her eyes in the water and swam forward underwater, reaching out of the water as she neared the water's edge, reaching up and grabbing a thick strand of weed in each hand. She dragged herself to the surface and grinned at Ivy from the water. "That was one of my better, wetter adventures, if I say so myself."

Ivy saw Marki fall into the water Ivy yelled out, "Marki!" She stood there...waiting and watching. Wondering if she was okay. Ivy started to wring her hands together, when Marki's hands came out of the water. Soon the rest of her came with them, soaking wet. Ivy simled happily as she spoke. Ivy laughed and held out a hand to her, "I say that you should dry off so you don't catch a cold, you silly goose you!" Ivy was glad that Marki was okay.

Marki took Ivy's hand and dismissed the part of her that always pulled someone in when they were trying to help her out of any body of water. That would simply be cruel, the girl had almost had a heart attack at the very sight of the water. She did not need anything worse for possibly the only person in Hogwarts that found her strangeness actually entertaining.

She stumbled out of the water, slipping and sliding on the bank as Ivy helped pull her out, having to grab at weeds as she pulled herself out of the lake. She finally righted herself and pushed back her sopping bangs with both hands before pulling her wand out of her pocket. She shook like a dog and then cast a warming spell and her clothes instantly felt dry, though her hair was still wet. Not bad considering they had yet to cover the spell. "That was fun."

Ivy watched Marki slip and slide as she helped her up. She was smilling and giggleing a bit, for the sight of someone drenched was always funny to see. She straightened herself out and pushed her bangs back, Ivy thought it was kinda cute. She brought out her wand and made her clothes dry but not her hair, Ivy was still amazed by the simplest of magic. She was okay but liked doing things the muggle way sometimes.

'That was fun.' Marki had said, "Seems like it." Ivy smiled and patted her wet head, "So Captian, where to next." Ivy was hopeing to get in on the action this time, she liked having fun and Marki was weird, but tons of fun.

Marki panted slightly, the work out rather exhausting. Even if she had been kidding the whole time about "wrestling" or "taming" the Giant Squid, it was still tiring being thrown about and holding onto the tentacles of the creature. She mopped her hair back again and a bit of water dripped rhythmically onto her shoulder.

Ivy asked what was next and Marki opened her mouth and held up a finger standing on her tiptoes. After a moment, her shoulders drooped and then fell to the side as she closed her mouth with a snap, a frustrated and confused look on her face. "I don't know. Huh. You have any ideas?"
