Sam walked into the boys dorm and looked around, taking in the room and quickly deciding which bed was to be his. Looking around he quickly saw the one he wanted, it was the same in property to the rest of the ones around the room, however it was positioned to be near enough to a window that he could get a nice view from it, but far away enough that he'd not be frozen in the winter months, as he'd had last year, god that was uncomfortable.

Plopping down on the bed he made himself comfy, before sitting up and begining to sort out his stuff.

Andrew had been here before the new Gryffindor boy. He had long before chosen his bed. He had been downstairs and had stashed his frog under his bed in the new plastic frog house that he had bought over the summer. He had been out on the grounds catching flies for Frog, and he had them in a jar. He brought them up nad saw the new boy.

"Hi," Andrew said, "I'm Andrew." He knelt down on the floor and drew out the frog box. He had gotten good at putting the flies in the box so they didnt' get out all over the room. He fed Frog and put the box back where he had gotten it. "I like Frog, but, well, I don't always bother watching him eat the flies. Sometimes, its cool, other times, well, I guess, not so much."

Ezra hadn't claimed his bed yet, but he should have. That's what he'd be doing the next few hours. Claiming his bed and going to sleep. It was getting late, and he needed to go to sleep, quickly. Time was precious, doubly so these days. He felt himself nodding off as he was going to the portrait that guarded Gryffindor tower, speaking the password and crawling through the hole. He threw down his backpack in the usual spot (by a chair in the common room). However, he couldn't sit in his favorite spot today, he had to go claim his bed and make it so he could sleep. He needed sleep and bad. Previous years were not as chaotic for him, but he had classes that he was sometimes too tired to do the homework for.

He started to go up the stairs, dragging his trunk behind him and up the stairs. He didn't mind the freezing cold of winter months, in fact he'd loved it. He'd thought of it as a nice cold shower in the morning, minus the uncomfortable wet. He really liked beds by windows. He found one that was right beside a window, so much so that the moon outside was hitting the sheets, making them an eerie light yellow-pink in contrast with the shadowed dark red of the rest of the sheets. This would be his home for the next many months, and he'd accepted that. He liked the thought of being here...aside from one thing that bothered him. Cheeto, his fox, wasn't allowed on Hogwarts property. Though, he did manage to sneak him in every year and not get caught. He still had to take precautions like putting everything Cheeto needed under the bed and making it like a doghouse.

Speaking of the little fox, he was on top of the bed Ezra was claiming. He licked his lips, expecting a treat from Ezra. He didn't have one on him at the moment, but that was okay since Cheeto would make him pay for that later. He was sure he would.

Sam looked up as the younger boy walked in and gave a short wave and smile. "Hey," he said, as the boy pulled something out from under his bed, a small home for his toad. Listening to what he said, Sam gave a chuckle. "It's nice to meet you Andrew," He said simply, reaching out to shake the boy's hand. "I'm Sam," he told him, gesturing to the toad. "I've never had a toad, nor've i really seen one up close," he said, leaning in. "May I?" He asked, before proceeding to watch the animal eat the flies.

When the door made a sound Sam looked up from his amphibious friend and saw another boy entering the dorms, walking over to a bed which had, and he'd somehow missed this earlier, a fox sitting on the bed. "Hey," he said, walking over to the boy, starting his usual greeting talk. "I'm sam" he told the boy. "Nice to meet you," he finished, with a smile.

"Sure," Andrew said to Sam. As soon as Frog was done with the flies, he took him out of his house and handed him to Sam. "I know he's supposed to be a toad, but so long as the professors don't know he's a frog and not a toad, I'm okay. Actually, one of the professors does know he's a frog, and told me that as long as I didn't make trouble with him, I could keep him. This is Frog's second year here too. I''ve had to have some long talks with him to get him to go to class with me in my pocket without making noise or leaping out, but he really has it down pat now.""

Andrew looked at the fox smuggled in by the other newcomer. "He's a great fox," Andrew said. "I'll help you keep him a secret if you like. I know what its like to want your best pal with you. I'll help you bring him up some eggs and bits of mea from the Great Hall so he can eat, if you want. What's his name?"

"I'm Ezra, nice to meet you", Ezra flashed a charming smile. He stroked Cheeto on the head, and the animal jumped down to greet the other two boys. The fox clambered to Sam first, the small orange animal rubbed against the boy's leg like a cat. Cheeto was cat-like for a canine, as were all foxes. Especially older ones, but Cheeto was still a pup. He was not old enough to be considered 'old' by fox standards. Next, he went over to Andrew, and looked up at him with wide, puppy-like eyes. Then, he nudged Andrew's pant-leg.

"Why thank you," Ezra chuckled when he heard the other boy complimenting his fox, "I would love to have him kept a secret from the staff. I don't want my best animal buddy being kicked out or worse just because he's not the allowed kind of pet. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. His name is Cheeto, because of his love for the Muggle brand of snack of the same name". Ezra looked at the small creature which was trying to make himself look cute by greeting the two others.

Now it was time for Cheeto, who had been disappointed earlier, to get back at Ezra for not bringing him a treat. He was so much like a small child, that had he been closer in appearance to a human, he'd be mistaken for one. Foxes were sometimes known to be human-like, but none as much as Cheeto. Ezra regretted not giving him a more human name. Cheeto crawled under the bed and got one of his toys, a squeaky newspaper chew toy. He quickly moved as to not be seen by Ezra, and put the toy near his owner's feet. Ezra was too caught up in conversation to notice, and when he moved he tripped over the toy and fell onto the bed. Well, half of him ended up on the bed, the other half hung over it.

Ezra groaned and got back up, nudging the toy under the bed. "He's just like a small child, when he doesn't get what he wants, he'll make you pay for it. He just has different methods since he doesn't have a voice like children do. However, if he did then he'd likely whine all the time. Cheeto jumped atop of the bed, yawned, and curled up. It was nap time for him.

wow.. Why did he have to be tired all the time? He he was helping people much of the time he didnt have time to hang out usually. This is what it was like everyday for blake. He always felt as though he was doing something good even though sometimes he wasnt doing a darn thing good. This day was one of those days. Blake coldins was walking up the stairs to the gryffindor tower careless with whatelse was going on. He usually cared because what kind of kid didnt care about things if they had all sorts of things where they help out children with all sorts of bad cases of things? He usually never was like this but tonight was one of those nights where all you can think about was getting to bed and having dreams that would never come true no matter how hard you tried.

While close to the boys dorm her heard talking. great he thought now i bet i wont be able to get the nap that i need This would suck.. He would end up meeting a bunch of random people he didnt know and they would learn about his causes and be like most other people. He really didnt think about stuff before doing it right now from his lack of sleep so he went up to the dorm, entered it quietly, and leaned against the door looking around at everyone.

Sam chuckled and took the frog into his hand. "haha, he's funny," he said, stroking it a few times and laughing loudly once more as it made a loud "Ribbit" noise. "You had him last year? Gosh, i didn't even hear him," he said. "He must be pretty well trained not to make any noise or move, you're pretty lucky, i think." he said to Andrew, grabbing a fly and letting it loose in front of the Frog, who promptly shot its tongue out to catch and eat the fly, causing Sam to laugh again. He then put the frog back down into it's frog home.

Looking over at the others Sam walked over to join them by Ezra's bed. "Nice one man, what sort of a fox is he?" he asked, stroking the fox and scratching it behind the ears. "And don't worry, your secret is safe with me." he told him with a wink, "I'd be happy to help as well with bringing it food and looking after it when you're not arround, i reckon we could set up a nice little "Home"" he said, making finger brackets in the air, "For him," he told Ezra with a smile.

He then heard the door open and close, and turned to see yet another person he hadn't recognised in the doorway. "Hey," he said, waving at the boy, a curious look on his face, "I'm Sam, i don't think we've met," he said, walking over to shake his hand.

Blake watched as they talked about pets. The fox and the Frog made him think of other things that he could do for his charity work. He had remembered learning in class how there were frogs that were endangered and the frog that fellow had reminded him of how people needed to help out those frogs. Quickly he took an animal endangerment book from his bag since that was what he was studying for the bast 3 weeks and flipped through the pages. He then took out a pen and parchment and wrote down some information he would need to start this organization.

For Blake, The fox was something unusual to see around the school even though he hadnt ever seen one before. His teacher when he was little had promised to take a fox to the school one time but she got sick that day and didnt remember about it. When the kids reminded her she was like "Oh yeah" And she decided to bring it a day that she had knows Blake wouldnt be there. He might have thought it on purpose but he knew it was an accident.

A voice snapped Blake out of his train of thought and he quickly put his things back into his back pack and said, "Blake.. Blake Coldins." He didnt shake this guys hand because it wasnt part of his life. He didnt care about shaking a hand when he met someone. Its just a hand why would you need to shake it to be polite? He never shook hands with someone and he never would.that was just how he was.

Andrew wasn't impressed with the new kid. Wouldn't even shake hands with Sam. What a prat! DId he think he was better than anyone else or what? This guy just looked completely put out that they had the nerve to be in their own bedroom. He looked totally bored and irked at finding his housemates here. Well, that didn't warm Andrew's heart towards him one little bit.

"I'm sure he showered," Andrew told Coldins. Andrew felt like Coldins was beiing rude to Sam for no cause. Maybe he was a germaphobe. Andrew wanted to know what his deal was. He didn't mind being a tad rude when he saw open rudeness.
