Wanderlust in the Forest

Ash sat up on the bed listening to the thunder and lightening crash through the storm. She wasn't afraid but she was trying to not walk outside and run around in it. Last thing she needed to do was wake up Sam if she was sleeping and scare her to death from being outside in something like that. She laid back down on the bed listening to all the sounds of the storm.

It was hard for Sammy to sleep that night. With her better hearing the thunder was almost ten times worse on her ears and the lighting woke her up every 5 minutes. Finally about 5 in the morning she fell asleep. Luckily it wasn't until noon that she was being shooken awak. "What? What's going on?" Samantha asked looked up at Ash, obviously she had woken up before her. Samantha just hoped that nothing bad had happened.

Ash had finally fallen asleep shortly before Sammy had. The rain and thunder had finally lulled her into sleep and she slept like the dead until about ten in the morning. She woke up feeling well rested and stretched as she jumped down out of the bed. She walked over to the small kitchen area and looked around for something to cook. Having found eggs, bacon and toast she decided to make breakfast. She looked over as Sam slept and finally after walking outside for a moment smelling the air of the area which still smelled like fresh rain she walked back inside and woke Sam for breakfast.

"Nothing is wrong." Ash said as she shook her awake. "I just made breakfast...and its after noon."

Samantha blinked her eyes, then rubed them trying to get the morning dust out. She then stretched and yawned. "Oh ok, thanks." Samantha said to her, getting out of the bed and walking over to the table. The food smelled wonderful. "It smells great." Samantha said sitting down and starting to eat her food. As she ate she quietly and secretly compared the food she made last night and the food that Ash made this morning. In the end it was about equal. Samantha smiled after a second of eating then took a sip of her drink. It was good too.

Finally after breakfast, and washing the dishes. Samantha got everything ready to leave then walked outside ready to take the tent down. "When you are ready we can leave." Samantha said to Ash making sure she knew that Samantha was ready to leave.
