Brienne, tried as she might, could not dodge the attack. Her leg felt jelly-like, and she could hardly stand on it. She used her other leg to balance herself though.

"Now you're gonna get it!"

She rubbed the leg, hoping to get the feeling back in it, but nope. Besides, it wouldn't be a fair duel if she used some sort of spell to remedy it. She decided she'd try to get this done once and for all, with a Hurling Hex. She seemed to aim a bit away from Angelique, but then..."Ictus!" She put some strength behind that, and flicked her wand towards Angelique just before shouting.

The problem with the hurling hex wasn't that it hurt, it was that it could hurl you onto something that would hurt. Angelique didn't fancy getting winded, but she was conserving her strength, remember? There was only one option. She dived out of the way and the hex sailed over her head. This duel was giving her a workout.

"I don't think so," she replied in a sing-song voice.

There was only one spell on the list neither of them had used. For unity's sake, Angelique unleashed it at Brienne. After this, she could get back down to the hurty fun times.

Brienne growled a little at Angelique. "Ready to give in?" Brienne was breaking a sweat, but tried (and failed) to hide it behind a stoic outward appearance. She ducked down and the Leek Ear Hex nearly grazed her, it came so close. However, she was able to get out of the way.

While she ducked down, she rolled a little bit. As she rolled, she whispered "Ictus", putting a bunch of strength behind the wand flick as she did. She got to her feet quickly enough. She wiped the sweat from her forehead, she wasn't going to block anymore, not just yet.

Angelique had started this duel completely confident that she would win. Maybe a bit overconfident, even. But she still had Brienne right where she wanted her.

She wished!

For a beginner, that Ravenclaw was disgustingly good at this game. Especially considering Angelique should've been handing her her arse on a platter. Did I mention Angelique has done this before?

Well, she had no hits left. That is, she could get hit again, the hurling hex didn't do much, but if she did, the duel would go to Brienne and since when has any Slytherin played to lose?

"Obsidio, Ictus!"

'Lique blocked the hex and used the same one back again.

"Obsidio!" Brienne knew she was using probably the last of her blocking power, she knew it. However, she was not going to go down without a fight. Not after she came so far. She was a determined young lady, there was not much that she couldn't do if she put her mind to it.

"Well, looks like I gotcha where I need ya". She grinned, then readied her wand for an attack.

"Aculetus!" She flung a Stinging Hex at Angelique, confident that she could end this if she wanted to. She felt as if she were in control. In control and that wouldn't change. She hoped.
