“Then why the f*ck are you still in my bedroom?” Vito growled in reply, staring down at her from where she was sitting on the ground. She had honestly fooled him when she had tilted her head back, “It takes the truth to fool me”, and he wasn’t too happy about it when she refused; he had given her the chance to run and never look back, and yet, she had chosen to stay, but wouldn’t give him what he wanted.
“You’ve made your point, now if you don’t mind, I’d like to get back to having a good evening in my club,” Vito told her sharply, stepping over her as if she were a heap of clothing on the floor, and walked out of his bedroom.
Normally, Vito would never have left someone in his bedroom alone, for he usually feared that they would destroy his things, but he had had enough of Chase Moor, and really just wanted to recover his evening. The female was just as bad as he was; he had seen it in her eyes, only, she had been able to do something Vito had never been able to, and that was to refrain from allowing his emotions to determine how he would act. Why was it that everyone was just like Vito? Well, at least, everyone that insisted upon butting in on his life.
Hopefully she wasn’t anything like Jack, and she didn’t fallow him as he walked slowly down the spiral staircase towards the back of Satin’s. He slipped his hands in his pockets, and despite the irritation he was feeling, his expression remained calm and unreadable as usual; his mask. It really was just like magic the way he could hide his emotions, but the problem was, there were counter-spells that could keep that magic from working, such as Jack Dyllan and other annoyances, and then he would no longer be able to appear calm and cool.
“A wine?” The bartended asked as Vito walked over to the bar and took a seat on one of the barstools, resting his arms on the bar and his chin in the palm of his hand. “No, I’ve got enough in me for now,” he replied with a roll of his dark colored eyes, as if somehow, the other man should have known this…
…but that was just like Vito; always expecting everyone to know just what he needed, despite the fact that he kept everything about himself a secret.
