Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

"The curse of every athlete!" he said grinning a bit and watching the bludger fly off. He saw it hit against the goalpost and head right towards him.He quickly pedaled backward quickly enough to not have the bludger smash into his chest. He laughed at the bludgers attempt to kill him and then sat normally again. "So what made you become a beater in the first place? I don't think you've ever mentioned why."

Jack shrugged, moving so that she sat side-saddle on her broom, her feet skimming the grass. "I really just wanted to fly at first. But I used to be on a softball team and I always seemed to be getting in trouble. So I got kicked off and played stickball with some kids who lived around me they were a tougher group of kids. When I heard Beating was like softball almost, but with the rules of stickball, as in barely any rules, I started trying out. And I was good. So I kept at it." She grinned. "What about you? Always wanted to be Seeker and captain?"

Andrew listened and thought how believable it was. He believed her and nodded with a grin. "I guess I just grew into it," he said calmly looking back at the trunk where the golden snitch was "my father was a seeker, my brother was a seeker, and now I'm a seeker. My brother and father were really good at the game, and my brothers last game he won by catching the snitch when they were losing. He was pretty good. So I just trained pretty hard, and it almost flowed together. Sort of like with you and beating. It kind of connects."

Jack nodded and she briefly thought about having magical siblings. She sort of wished Riley had magic in him too. It was sad to have started out alone and unaware, but it must also be a lot of pressure. It didn't really matter for her. Her parents wouldn't be impressed by her Quidditch skills anyhow. "Must be tough, having to follow them."

Andrew had never realized how much pressure he had on his shoulders now. He had a lot of shoes to fill and felt a little intimidated now. "Yeah," he said calmly and then looked at her "but my parents just want me to do my best. And that's all I'm expecting from the team as well. Although 150% would be nice as well." He stood up and looked around, trying to imagine what it would feel like to see everyone staring down at you, watching and praying that their team would win. "Well I guess we have a lot of work to do in order to keep this team headstrong." he said and then felt a sudden anger urged into his chest. He forgot to post the schedule for Quidditch practice. Great.

Jack noticed that he had looked a little worried at her words. "Don't worry, you'll be fine I'm sure." He talked about his parents just wanting him to do his best and she felt a small stab of jealousy but pushed it away. She did not even like her parents, much less care about what they thought. "Well that's good." Suddenly, he looked a little angry or frustrated. She cocked her head and looked over at him. "What's wrong?"

"Just forgot a few things, that's all," he said calmly wondering what times would be alright. School was ending soon and that would be a minor annoyance to the team. "And thanks. But as long as we all do our jobs, we'll win." He heard something on the lines of insane laughter and then quickly dropped to the ground. The bludger exploded into the ground leaving a trail of dust, and then tried to fly away. Andrew, being annoyed, pulled out his wand and aimed it at the bludger. "Immbolus!" he casted. The bludger suddenly began to slow down and quiver in it's usual excitement as it tried to escape from it's charm. "That thing is always trying to kill me..."

Jack nodded. She did not hear the laughter, but she heard the all-to-familiar whooshing noise of an oncoming Bludger. Andrew dove out of the way and she fell backwards off her broom to avoid being pulverized. Andrew subdued it and Jack burst into laughter before clambering back onto her broom, looking at the grass stains on her elbows. "It sure has got it out for you it seems. We'll be fine if this Bludger doesn't murder us first."

"I think it knows that if it tried to kill me, I'd bring it with me," he said noticing it to start to move back towards him again "so it's going to try and kill me anyway. Let's put that thing way before any random person gets hurt." He casted another Immobolus and then grabbed onto it, dragging it with him back to the trunk. Before he put it away, he got an evil grin and then looked back at Jack. "Care for another swing?" he asked in a mysterious way.

Jack grinned back at him and leaned back, picking her bat up off the ground from where she had dropped it in her mad attempt to dodge the Bludger. She hefted it up and held it ready. "You know it."
