[I hope you don’t mind me joining, I thought I could mix things up a bit XD]
Traveling was one of the things Calvin hated most about his job- and don’t get me wrong, he loved his job, protecting muggles and everything, but when it came to dangerous tasks or traveling by plain all the way to South Africa, Calvin couldn’t help but wish he were at home with some cold pizza and a PlayStation instead.
Calvin walked slowly down the steps that lead outside of the airport, his usual messy pile of paperwork hugged to his chest, his old sneakers thudding softly against the hard ground. He was holding a piece of paper in front of his face, a small slip of paper that had an address printed on it. Calvin had never been to Africa before, and hardly knew what he was doing or where he was going, but he figured as long as he stuck to that small printed address, he would be fine.
“hmmm, buh, dum…” the young man hummed as he pulled his green, hooded jacket off, holding it in the crook of his arm; the heat was very intense compared to that of London, and he found that wearing his jacket was nolonger neccisary- though he was still dressed in a long-sleeved shirt, as usual. What was it with the guy and layers?
It wasn’t until Calvin reatched the start of the road did he realize he wasn’t exactly sure where he was to go from that point. If he turned back, he could still see the airport, but it was a small dot from where he was standing, and he really didn’t feel like walking all the way back. Calvin scratched his head, scanning the area, until he saw a small group of people. He sprinted forward, though his legs were rather reluctant as the heat started to effect him a bit more, “Excuse me! Could one of you tell me how I get to this address?” Calvin asked innocently, waving the slip of white paper in the air before coming to a stop before the four. Luckily, they too had just gotten off of the plane, and they spoke a language Calvin understood- the only language he understood, that was.
“Hmmm, let me see…” the oldest looking man out of the bunch said, taking the paper in his own hands before reading it himself. “Yeah, I know that place, it’s not far from where we are headed; we can drive you if you want,” he offered. Calvin grinned that strange, awkward, lopsided grin of his and nodded vigorously, “Thank you!” he exclaimed, fallowing the four to their car.

It wasn’t long before the driver cut the engine and opened his door, stepping out into the sun once more. There had been no air-conditioning in the car, and Calvin was practically sweating by the time he managed to unlock his own door and push it open. He looked around him before stepping out, taking in his surroundings; it was much different than in London, that was for sure. “Just walk that way”- the man who had driven the car told Calvin, pointing towards one of the houses that was nearest to where they had parked. He nodded, smiled, thanked the group, and made his way towards the house that he had been told had the same address as the one on the slip of paper the Ministry had given him.
What a foolish young man Calvin was, to believe that someone would be so kind to give him a ride and direct him towards some address Calvin would be completely lost without. For all Calvin knew, he could have been miles away from his actual destination, but the thought never crossed Calvin’s mind.
