Nerissa stopped playing around with the chair she was sitting in when Andrew come over and took a seat, and looked his way, “Thank you good sir,” she replied with a smile. She brought her glass to her lips and let the cool water run down her throat before setting it down, empty. “It was,” Nerissa agreed with a nod, feeling rather content with the situation, even if the temperature was a bit uncomfortable; the water was working as a coolant for her body and she was glad she had decided to take the opportunity to enjoy herself that evening.
She rested the side of her face in her hand, tilting her head a bit to the side as she looked off at the dance floor. The lights were bouncing around, having a good time of their own. Ever now and then one of the farther lights would caress Nerissa’s face, coloring it an odd but interesting shade of blue.
She was thinking about anything and everything; trying to remember how long it had been sense she had been to a party, thinking about how wonderful it would be to pause time just for a moment so that she could feel the same sense of contentment she was feeling at the moment for a bit longer, and her goofy, heroic, clueless at dancing friend, Andrew.
Bye bye stress; it had left her as soon as she had hit the dance floor.
