stevgen smiled to Dove "ow going to don't worry and who do you think wil be the rider for your foal, john has never ridden before so by the time he is able to like Andrew, he or she will be old enouph to be ridden " he explained with a small chuckle , he moved to Andrew and placed his hand on his shoulder "you can stay with her if you want, I know you would prefer to be with her then around an old auror like me" he chuckled " I'll be in the empty stall over there " he pointed to one two stalls up then walked over to it disapearing inside and sitting down on the warm straw as he waited..

Andrew went out and climbed a tree overlooking the stall and hung out there for awhile, and then jumped over to the roof. He stretched out on the roof in the sun and closed his eyes, He liked the sunshine.

Inside, Dove asked Steven, "Is your kind related to squirrels? Your foal is up on the roof. Your foal climbs like a squirrel--agile and fast. It could be a good trait, but he needs to be careful up there. I didn't see that your foal has wings to catch himself with. Can he fly? And what does he eat? I don't see you providing food for him either. Who taught you how to take care of foals, anyway?"

Steven watched him walk out side then heard him on the roof chuckling as he did "dove He is a human boy and they like to climb if he falls then he learns, its how we humans learn things about our enviroment , and as for food " he aperated a piknic basket in front of him "Im a wizard so its no problems for me, as for who tought me a wonderful woman called Janet, she had the pationts of a saint , but shes no longer here so I am kinda winging it , I mean doing things on my own , I just hope im not failing with andrew" he said looking at a piece of straw he held in his hand as he spoke "hes like my own flesh and blood, well close enouph , john who is mine hes totaly difreant hes more school oriantated , Andrew , well he's , well andrew "

"Andrew acts like an abandoned foal. He does not trust. He has trouble knowing who to attach to. He will learn. But he seems like he doesn't know how to be around your kind very well. He does very well with us, but he doesn't always like his own kind. The only animals i see like that are ones who have been hurt at an early age and dont know what to do. You might just need patience with him."

steven sighed "I know and thats what I am doing , buy giving him you to ride, its a way for him to feel less traped but know he has a way to come back when he wants to " he looked at her "I just hope things between us are ok, and one day he will let me in" he said and laid bck on the straw "hows that foal coming?" he asked now trying to shange the subject.

"Not yet," she said, "If it were time, you'd know. Go find yourself something to do. You make me nervous. Take your food, Wizard, and feed your foal. Do something worthwhile."

Meanwhile, Andrew had fallen into a light doze on the roof of the shed, He was thinking about taking the train 2 days from now back to Hogwarts to finish his term before summer. He was starting to think about classes. And he wanted to stop in Diagon Alley for a magical quill to take notes for him so he didn't have to copy pages and pages of notes off Professor Wilson's board. He was pretty good on the rest of his school supplies. He dozed off thinking about Hogwarts.

steven nodded picking up the basket he walked out side looking up at the roof "hey Andrew you hungry?" he asked laying out the picknic things in front of the stables. moving to the tree he climbed up to sit on a branch faceing him "wow didn't think i could still do that"he smiled to him " got some food , Dove kicked me out the stables she said I made her nervouse" he said chuckling.

"Doesn't surprise me," Andrew said, getting up and jumping back over to the tree and shinnying down quickly. "She's been skittish all day. I think everything makes her nervous today. So what's for lunch?" he asked. He was starting to get hungry, and at his age, he was able to eat, usually about the same as John.

steven made his way down the tree with out any incidents witch ws good for him since he ahdn't climbed a tree in years "hum what do you want, ice cream , sandwitches of what ever you want " he said sitting back down on the blanket , "and your right she is only becuse shes in foal" he took all the food from the backet and layed it out infront os aAndrew "so that were you thiking about on the roof?" he asked

"I think I want a sandwich, please," he said. As Steven handed him a sandwich, Andrew said, "I really need a magical quill for school. I'm tired of cramps in my hand because of pages and pages of notes in class. Most of the kids have them, and it sure makes me work harder than them. They can't be expensive, since almost everybody has one. I'm tired of taking endless pages of notes by hand."
