Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Soulmates Empty Soulmates

Post by Khaat Lupin Tue Apr 20, 2010 7:43 pm

Khaat had had a long stressful day, and she was feeling alone. She came home, finding the house empty, and went through the house, feeding the cats and Archangel. The kids didn't appear to be home tonight--again. She was alone still. She sorted out the mail, and then went into the study. She took the book off her desk that she had been meaning to read, conjured herself a cup of tea, and sat down to read. She figured she would read a couple of hours and then go to bed. She certainly had to find something better to do with her evenings than this. She kicked off her shoes and put them beside the sofa and curled up there with her book and her cup of tea.

She hadn't had dinner, but she really wasn't hungry tonight. It was no fun cooking for one. And Abbey didn't quite count yet. Not entirely. Abbey still felt like part of her. She knew it would feel much different after August.

Rob had been angry with her when she told him about taking a brief leave from St. Mungos to go to Hogwarts for awhile. It hda been something she had done because she felt very vulnerable at St. Mungos, and she felt that perhaps she and Abbey might be safe there until at least the end of the term. She wasn't sure she'd go back to St. Mungos full time again until after Abbey was born. She just didnt' know. To make matters worse, she didn't know if Rob would every speak to her again. She hoped she hadn't ruined what little she had in her marriage by accepting Vincent's offer.

Soulmates Empty Re: Soulmates

“So what’s your great master plan then?” Andrew asked, glancing at Rob.

The two men were walking through Hogsmeade. It had been yet another successful day and Rob was happy-ish. His co-workers seemed a little bit skittish at first. They were intimidated. Rob was a trained professional and they were school boys. Andrew was the only one that seemed to know what he was doing although he was a little hesitant. It seemed he still had a conscience. Apparently he remembered Rob from Hogwarts but Rob couldn’t remember anyone named Andrew although to be fair he was wrapped around girls for most of his years there – fourth year and up. Andrew didn’t seem to mind. They had gotten on well so far and it seemed Andrew was a bit of a bookworm seeing as he’d already read Rob’s file.

“My master plan?” he smirked and raised an eyebrow at the younger man. He looked bashful for a few moments before raising his head again.
“You’re the best in the business although you sister could probably kick your ass from here to Japan so maybe the best male in the business. One day, it’ll get them killed. Why are you putting roots down?”
“You’re an inquisitive one aren’t you?” the man shrugged. “I don’t know to be honest. It just sort of....happened.”
“You’re happy?” he asked, curious.
“Not at the moment. We’re having a bit of an issue at the moment.” He sighed.
“It’ll get better with time.” The man said wisely.

Rob smirked and bid him goodnight before jumping over the back fence. He landed in a bed of flowers and frowned a little. He heard the ottoman yip and he saw it bounding out to greet him. The cats were sat on the window sill and Rob couldn’t help but wonder if they knew he was coming home. He walked towards the back door and one of the Death Eater kittens looked pointedly at the gun by his waist. He looked back over his shoulder and saw Andrew sitting on the fence. Rob grinned and took the holster off of his belt. He chucked it to Andrew and the boy caught it before jumping back over the other side.

Rob smiled and opened the back door. He stepped inside, letting the ottoman bound through into the lounge and he closed the door behind him. He took his jacket off and frowned a little. There was blood on his shirt but he doubted that it was his own. Shaking his head he pulled it off and chucked it on top of his coat. He walked into the lounge and leaned over the back of the couch. He covered Khaat’s eyes and pressed a kiss to her neck. “Guess who?”

"Hmm," Khaat smiled, "Well, its either my boyfriend or a secret admirer. It can't possibly be Rob." She laid her hands on his, took one and kissed it. She flicked a finger, and her book went obediently back to the desk. "You're home early," she said. "I take it Lizzie is handling the dinner rush without your brilliance?" She turned and saw the blood on his shirt. "Maybee I should not ask you what you have been into. But, maybe,..." she said softly,"...you might need a little personal attention? Just in case that's not somebody else's? Maybe we need to make sure."

She stood up and kissed him slowly and very softly, lovingly and passionately. She didnt' always like what happened, or didn't happen between them, but her heart was given so fully to him that she excused just about everything he did, just because she loved him so much. She was hoping he had found some way of understanding her need to go to Hogwarts. He didn't sound as if he was still angry about that. And besides, they were almost just two months from summer break. It was just a change of pace. Something different, to ease her nerves, to feel more protected. Nothing more. And being less lonely would certainly help.

“How many other men do you give keys to?” he asked playfully, pressing a few ore kisses to her neck. “Uhuh.” He nodded. “Lizzie is useful and I am home early.” He smirked and tugged his shirt off. “Better?” he asked, smirking slightly.

He kissed her back was just as much passion and pulled away after a while. He smiled and pushed some of her hair back from her face. Rob walked around the side of the couch and sat down. He put a hand on her stomach and smiled some more. “I’ve missed you both. I know I haven’t been here for either of you. I’ve broken promises but I want it to change. Things will definitely be different now. I want them to be as much as you do. I hate this distance. I want to make it up to you.” He kissed her softly and pulled her closer. He’d definitely missed this.

She felt herself melting to him. Anything he wanted. Anything. She didn't care. She was just glad he was here. All the distance seemed to dissolve. She flet herself giving in. All her resolve to not want him, to not need him--it was all a lie, she realized. Nothing and no one replaced or even came close to what she felt for him.

"As long as you want to be here, everything else will come. And we both want you here," she said. She laid his hand on her stomach so he could feel Abbey kick. "She's got a bit of your impulsiveness. She's anxious to meet her father."

"And Abbey's mom just really wants an evening with Abbey's dad. Whatever you want to do--I'm yours." She kissed him deeply, unable to keep a leash on her passioin that she felt for him one more moment.
