"Hmm," Khaat smiled, "Well, its either my boyfriend or a secret admirer. It can't possibly be Rob." She laid her hands on his, took one and kissed it. She flicked a finger, and her book went obediently back to the desk. "You're home early," she said. "I take it Lizzie is handling the dinner rush without your brilliance?" She turned and saw the blood on his shirt. "Maybee I should not ask you what you have been into. But, maybe,..." she said softly,"...you might need a little personal attention? Just in case that's not somebody else's? Maybe we need to make sure."
She stood up and kissed him slowly and very softly, lovingly and passionately. She didnt' always like what happened, or didn't happen between them, but her heart was given so fully to him that she excused just about everything he did, just because she loved him so much. She was hoping he had found some way of understanding her need to go to Hogwarts. He didn't sound as if he was still angry about that. And besides, they were almost just two months from summer break. It was just a change of pace. Something different, to ease her nerves, to feel more protected. Nothing more. And being less lonely would certainly help.
