Surprise Visit (Mariana's House)

It was a lovely rainy spring weekend. One of the weekends when Mariana would usually go to visit her grandpa in Mexico and sit with him for a fair bit. At least when there was not too much of homework since she needed the use of library for it. Her grandpa Alex was taking his afternoon nap like any other day while she finished washing some dishes and laundry since her grandpa was pretty disorganized about those stuff. She sat on the sofa in the lounge room stretching her back over it while she put her feet up and took a remote control.

The rains pours lightly from the sky. The sounds of the rain impact can be heard on the car roof and mirrors. As Hafiz arrive to Mari's house, he park in front near her garage. He came out with his pink umbrella and wanted to get to the other side of the door for Haley. The outside air was very lovely and the breeze is so friendly. As Haley came out from the car, Hafiz wrapped his hand around her waist and lead to the big beautiful house. There was a little friendly inviting decorations around the doorsteps and make the house more lovely and lively. Hafiz knocked on the door three times but without saying who he is, waiting Mari to open the door.

Haley went to open the car door but Hafiz was already there with the umbrella, she smiled as she stepped out, she wrapped her coat around herself and leaned closer to Hafixz's side as he wrapped his arm around her waist. Rain was one of the most inviting and welcoming kind of weather to Haley, it was her favorite, never too cold and never too hot. As they approached the house her eyes widened, it was so beautiful. she had never met Hafiz's cousin so she was a little nervous about it.

Mariana was watching television relaxed leaned on the sofa in the lounge room not expecting anyone today. Someone knocked on the door. Am i expecting anyone today? I guess not. she thought for herself shrugging her shoulders as she realized she was taking a while to open and stood up turning off the TV with the remote putting her glass of water on the old wooden table in front of her. She fixed her long, wavy red hair as she walked down towards the entrance door to open them. "Good morning how can i help...you..." she started her usual question finishing it slowly as she saw it wasn't anyone she didn't know. Hafiz was standing there with someone so she took a moment to stare surprised at the scene before she shaked her head "COUSIN!!!" she yelled happly jumping to give him a hug.

Hafiz jumped a bit and never expect that Mari will act that way. He smiled and hug her back and he gave her a gentle kiss to both of her cheek. As Hafiz entered Mari's house, he hang his umbrella and his coat at the hangar and help Haley to take off her coat and hang it to. Oh Mari, this is Haley and Haley, this is Mariana my sweetest cousin. Hafiz closed the door behind him and walked in to the living room.

Mariana didn't care how riidiculus she looked like. Her cousin wasn't the most usual visit though it was more then welcoming. "Come on in you two. Haley? Is that your new girlfriend cousin?" she asked taking their coats to hang them somewhere warm to dry hoping she wasn't being too direct though that was her natural style. "Yeah your only cousin if i might add. Hi Haley i am Mariana who prefers to be called Mari if you don't mind." she said leading them to the lounge room which was empty. Furniture was old styled, but she liked it anyway.

Haley shrugged out of her coat with Hafiz's help before she spoke, "Hi Mari, I think I've actually seen you around school a few times." she followed the two of them into a room that had old fashioned furniture in it, "your house is very beautiful."

Mariana wasn't sure what to answer or not answer "Yeah you look rather familiar though i couldn't swear. What year are you on?" she finally replied trying to remember though house had some 300 students so it was hard to remember someone who she hardly ever met. "Well it's actually my grandpa's house though i live here so i added a girl touch here and there. But thank you anyway." she said smiling enjoying rare moments in which she saw her cousin. "But do sit down. Can i offer you something for drink though i only have muggle drinks here." she asked standing to see if she could bring anything before she would sit down again.

The warm invitation was such welcoming although it is a surprise visit. Mari ask to sit so Hafiz sit on his favorite sofa. The sofa is so soft and comfortable until it is a tender for Hafiz's butt. His nice cousin offer them a drink, Well, it is raining here so I guess a warm chocolate drink for me please.And make sure you make with your hand. He love Mari's chocolate drink because she always make it delicious since they were kids.
Hafiz turned to Haley Anything for you dear? Ask any drink because Mari here is an expert on making drinks, and Hafiz give a big smile to Mari.

Haley sat next to Hafiz as she answered Mari, "I'm a fifth year." She bit her bottom lip when offered the drink, "I'll have the same thing please." she looked around the room with a smile.
