Plott!!!!

Well, this thread seems to be an excellent example of why I do not like to get involved in most of the larger site plot. Because no one can ever seem to agree or get along. When I have a small plot with just one or two other people, I can always find a way to compromise on what I want to happen or what he/she wants to happen. We can work it out.

Also, threads do not get completely out of control if I can’t post one day. I am a college student and I do not always have time to post in every thread I am in every single day. This becomes a problem when I am involved in a mass thread, because if I don’t post for one day, there might be 15-20 posts between the last one and the one I am about to make, which makes it basically impossible for me to write one that covers everything that has happened.

I think one of the big problems with the Death Eaters and the Order and the Ministry never having any plot is that no one on this site every wants to be vulnerable or lose at anything. There are some characters that are especially guilty of this, but it is sort of a problem on the whole. Of course, no one creates a character thinking that it would be okay if he/she died. We grow attached to our characters, and they take a lot of time to make. But occasionally, our characters should get hurt in battle, have weaknesses, be bad at something. They are human. But I just don’t see things being played that way.

And that is another reason why I mainly stay out of larger plots. What is the point of me expending effort to promote a plot or further a story when it is just going to dissolve into chaos or yet another argument? I would rather have a set of smaller plots set up that all sort of revolve around the same thing, some way that individuals could post in groups of 2-4 in threads that perhaps are happening at the same time in different places, or even simultaneously in the same place. That way, when people are not posting realistically, their nonsense doesn’t just get lost in a mass thread where some posts are good and others are, well… not. They would have to be more responsible for what they write because someone is more likely to call them out on it when it directly affects the fate of the thread.

These are just thoughts. I guess I don’t really have that much clout in this situation because Remy is basically an unranked Death Eater that hasn’t really participated in much in the overarching DE/Order/Ministry plot, but I have already given my reasons for that. I do think she is an active, realistic character, though, whom I have grown very fond of writing.

As for DE's taking over Hogwarts, I did ask Darren if Remy could be appointed to the Care of Magical Creatures position so she could carry out Sandra’s wishes of finding out the students’ views on the current war, but I never heard back so that has basically stopped.

Okay I'm sorry but there is one point of contraversy that I've come across. The Idea that NO Student can deffet a graduate or adult. Thats not eniterly true. Some students have the skills already needed not only to hold there own, but sometimes actualy win aginst an adult. And how does this pertain to the plot?

It's going to be Adults and Grads that will be taking over Hogwarts. The students need to be able to fight back. But if we are going to automaticly lose to anyone that has already grduated, then there isn't going to be a point. We are only going to either lose horribly, or just have to give in without a fight. I don't agree with that process. Thats my only real issue right now.

The admins are working on this. They're actually instituting a tier system where we should be able to see who can beat who in a fight. Just be patient.

NE'OS:Stop provocating me Ne'Os i have been here for much longer then you were and i've been admisitrating this site long before you came here to tell me how to do it.And even if Darren is actually the Head Admin i still have much more authority in site matters than you do. If you want to challenge me on debate then go ahead we will see if people would listen to 2 years old member which is trying to roleplay realisticly and lsiten to everyone complaining like you and like Majere.And just so you know i initiated a debate with other admins regarding taking some of your privilegges here. Or they would listen to a member that all he does is complain how we screw up his plans which involve him gaining more and more powers and do things no one can do and let's see who would they choose?You didn't step only on my foot.Members keep coming to me complaining about you and guess what?Even if other admins were easy on you i am going to focus all my energy into this matter.So i would suggest you stop bugging me.

SANDRA:Yeah Death Eaters are pretty inactive lately (at least more then any other force on the site).The reason for this? I don't blame you ofcourse because no one has the fault of DEs being lazy to post (i'll get to you Remy) or being disorganized as they are.In general they have a lot of members who don't do anything though we are trying to figure a way to activate them besides the whole taking over Hogwarts plot.

REMY:Yeah i agree about the whole too over-crowded topic part though the section Battle for the Ministry was made with only purpose so people could lead individual fights here or there in separate topics if they prefered.Plot HAS to move on and some people didn't even post for once there so you could actually say they were there.Regarding to Death Eater part Sandra should have PMed you (i think she did) about what was going on and where to read what you needed because even i am not bothered to read when someone posts 20 pages over night.

GODRIC AND KEITH:The students will fight back though we needed to put some order in it because not EVERY student can beat a graduate.This was made especially because of Ne'Os's unrealistic RPing because against the plot he had beaten Voldemort when he was only 15/16 years old.Even Harry Potter himself didn't have that kind of power in that age and even if he did no one on the site is actually new Harry Potter though it;s hard to make some people understand that.I am personally working on these matters and i might re-organize Potters Army (feuding force) if i get approved untill i graduate.

Majere:I agree to some point with Jess.You weren't here when the battle was at its full blast and even though i appriciate some of your ideas you can't blame us because you didn't get to participate in it.I have PMed you a lot of times,but i can't sit and wait here untill you appear.
So question yourself first before you come here to complain about your bad luck.

Might I suggest a stats system, clunky as it may sound? Give everybody 20 points to distribute as they please, and then each graduation results in 10 points additionally or something like that? Or, divide the post count by 50 per stat point? Because I think that nobody can properly gauge their character's power in comparison to others. Werewolves and Vampires should also have penalties. Sorry to bring up a well-worn point, but look at Ne'os- once he's a vampire, he's practically god!

Also, please, please set up a posting order. This way, everybody gets their say and nobody's completely lost.

Oh Mariana Just by saying your going to focus on me means i will listen to the other Adims and focus on you


and Posting order dosent work well with huge plots not everyone will follow them and then people leave and it falls apart.


Also im just going to kill Ne'OS imo hes the most hated character on the site. I can focus on Zack and Faelan who arnt gods. Even better Faelan will lose his staff since the creator will be dead. Maybe ill kill Faelan as well and just keep Zack.

Actually, Vampires are weaker at magic, something i've said before more than once...

To answer some questions about the Hogwarts matter.
There wont be a battle to take it over, Majere will bring them in, then they'll do some thing to lock order and aurors out, so that only students could leave, sorta keeping the school going, but with DEs in control, and things starting to go haywire

Also, yes i can see where you're coming from, but once again it comes down to what Remy was saying. No one wants to lose, if you're a student and you go into a battle, expect to come off the worse, because what are teh chances of a 15 year old student who's not completed their education managing to beat a 20-osmething hwell trained, experienced graduate? Yes, i think that's unrealistic, which is why i encourage students fighting students, and keep it at that.

I cant really just make him nice.....and im not sure how that would be bad for the site since you guys seem to get complaints about that character so im doing the best thing.

I reckon you should just age your character, maybe try and raise a cult, then try and take over? I dunno, but i still don;t want you deleting Ne'os
