He decided to go with it just being because he was in Slytherin but he couldn't help but to be honest. "Yes, that's certainly a part of it." Though she was talking a lot he found it all interesting. She made some good points in his opinion. "Parents' opinion generally have that effect. They make us question things. But I agree with you. House rivalries have never seemed all that important," he admitted, feeling his philosophical side coming out. "Gryffindors, even though I have some I'm close to in that house, have always seemed to be a pride in this school though I've never been sure of why. They seem to be the martyrs and not necessarily intelligent about being so. But here I am, following your suit, I'm rambling as well," he admitted, shooting her a sly smile. When she added that people didn't understand her he couldn't help but say, "Well, if it makes you feel any better, I perfectly understand and agree with everything you just said." This wasn't just him trying to hit on her...he really felt that way. He hoped to a higher spirit that he wasn't falling for her. He didn't know what it felt like to fall for someone...especially so suddenly.
"Well, I'm here to flatter as well as speak the truth," he added, hoping to only help his chances with a girl like her. To be honest, when she admitted that she was part veela he couldn't help but think that most of his infatuation with her was because of that trait. But then again, veelas were only appealing physically, not conversationally. So he tried to ignore the fact. "I appreciate you being honest about that. But veelas are what, all physical attraction?" he asked, raising a suggestive eyebrow. "You have more than just your physical beauty."
