"You think they would, even knowing that maybe the child and I could both be werewolves and not really know it? I don't have a problem with it, but you know a lot of the wizarding world still does. And I'm not getting any younger. What if I start getting wrinkles or something?" she caught herself and said, "Now I'm going too far. Sorry. Did you ever see Remus? Accio!" She summoned the very large portrait with her wand and made sure she held the heavy portrait with her magic until it came down the stairs and reached them. She leaned it against the kitchen cabinets. "There he is. My uncle. It really is an excellent likeness," Khaat said softly. "It's like being drawn to my parents, really. Or closer. We never had a fight or even an argument. It was like our minds were connected. We thought alike and acted alike. You know, every so often Wilson claims to know Remus so much better than I did. It makes me want to fire some sort of debilitating spell at him for lying. But then I don't. Uncle Remus would have just laughed in his face. I can almost hear his voice in my head laughing at Wilson's need to feed his own ego, and then I let him live another day. Now there's a man who is way too full of himself. Even Snape wasn't that egotistical. There was something pitifully insecure about Severus Snape. Wilson is just a prat."

jack sipped his coffee as he listened "ow I agree roomer is hes too big for his boots and one day some one will bring him down a peg or two" he said finishing his coffee, he looked down at the picture she held "I would have loved to have met him , though threw you i have a feeling i have "he smiled to her "I think he'd be prowed of who you are and what you've become, I know from as ong as i have known you I am certainly proud to call you freind." he said smiling to her he wouldn't say it but he was of her cince he had known her she ahd helped with jessica a lot and he was glad , if jess had have ben left he felt she would hve lost the twins but becasu she was there to kep her clm dn help her she was now her self again, the woman he was going to marry adn the wonam he fell in love with all those months ago

"You know," she looked at him, "If I think back to the day I met you, I don't think I even dreamed we would become such close friends. And you and Jess are, without a doubt, my closest friends. Jack, I'm not counting on anything bad, but if something bad does happen to me for whatever reason, would you make sure all my kids get to my mom and dad if Rob isn't here? I'm not counting on some sort of doom and gloom, but I'm on Majere's 'naughty' list, I know. He'd like to get rid of me. He and I both are keenly open with each other and aware of that. If for some reason I ever disappear, look to Vincent Majere or James Wilson first. I seem to provoke them by breathing. And personally, I think Wilson is acting as a double agent. Jess Potter puts way too much trust in Wilson. And it could just get Jess Potter killed. That's why I didn't hide that quartz box at Grimmauld Place. I can't trust Wilson. Jess told me that he would not put special safeguards around it and that any Order member could get to it. So I didn't hide it there. Sometimes Jess seems to do some foolish things to me. A brilliant man who sometimes makes decisions that seem completely foolhardy. You know, the more I stand up against the dark arts and against the ministry, the more enemies I make. I don't say anything, but that's also part of the reason Daddy's coming back so much into my life. He thinks I need a bodyguard, and I dare anyone foolish enough to challenge him and win. They have no idea how powerful he really is. If you really discern him with your Auror skills, you'll see there are very precious few wizards in this region who could take him unless he allowed it. He's stepping in to protect me since I nearly was killed blowing up that necklace a short while back."

jack listened he became slightly angry at her for thinking this way but could not turn her down "I promise all you children will be safe , i will treat them ass if they were my own, but don't think that way nothing is going to happen to you, you have to many people looking out for you" he said then listened to what she said about wison and jess potter "that i agree with also why would he ask you to put the on thing with power there knowing wilson could get to it in a flash. dosn't make any sence" he rubbed th back of his neck in thought "my Auror skills are a bit rusty Khaat I know your father got me to sense jessica in the rooom that day but thats an easy kill more complicated ones need more concentration and i haven't use those in months" he admited

"Jack," Khaat said seriously, "Don't let yourself lose those skills. The Order is working on making a move to take over the ministry unless Gabrielle allies with them. And Lord only knows what that will make the Death Eaters do to us Order members. It certainly won't make them celebrate with joy. Just because you're not working that job anymore, don't ever allow yourself to lose those skills. It just might be what saves your family. Let me tell you this one thing--the one thing Uncle Remus believed in, more than anything else, was how important it was to learn, practice and hone in your skills that might keep your or your loved ones safe. He believed you never dared to let those skills ever slack and should always be working on strengthening them as long as you lived. I've always tried to live by that. Why do you think Majere hasn't killed me before this? Here's the truth of it. Shacklebolt and I nearly had defeated him and all the aurors he had with him the day he broke into Shacklebolts office to arrest him. We took them all by ourselves. We were only defeated when Wilson came in and ambushed us when he sided with Majere. Otherwise, we'd have held onto Shacklebolts job and the school. I think Majere senses I'm not a pushover. That's because I took Remus's lessons about never letting your skills slide to heart. We ought to do some practice wizard duels between you and I to get you back in practice."

Jack looked at her like a little boy beng scolded , he was about to say the reason he had let them laps was because he didn't have anywhere safe but he then smiled hearing her say they should wizerd duel sometime "yes but only if your father is on stand by i don't want you hurt or that child your carrying, ok" he said he foloed his arms he would love the chanche to get praticing with his skills and dep inside he agred he had to do it becasue of jesica and Andrew and the two new children , he could not let his skill laps "once learned never forgoten " he reminded himself .

"I bet you a cup of coffee I can beat you," Khaat laughed. "Loser has to drink tea instead of coffee for a week. Are you game?"

Jack thought for a moment then groaned " I may be regretting this but..all right but be prepared to be put on your butt" he said grinning as he drank and savered his coffe knowing it might be his last for a week he knew his skills could never match up to hers but he had to try and for one thing it ahd brough her out of her depreshion and for that he was wlling to try. He sighed he really wish he had met Remus now so he knw just what he was letting himself in for. He chuckled as he looked at her "you sure you can take jessica wrath if she finds out?" he said smiling

"Positive," Khaat laughed. "Come on. Let's go, Big Boy. Or are you all talk?" she laughed, teasing him. "We've got a weeks' worth of coffee at stake here." She knew full well his auror training had been different than her own and if he wanted to off her, he could do it easily. He was trained for that. Most of what she had was what Remus had taught her. Hogwarts had taught her relatively little more than she already knew.

Jack looked at her wth wide eyes "what...now ?" he asked "I though we'd have some practice setions first so i could get back into it" he said a slight panic taking him over "besides you father is not here and i don't want to hurt you or that child of yours " he sivered at the thought of nothing but tea for a week "dose it have to be a week can't it be a day?" he pleaded with her to change it to that he could cope for aday but a week he was so not going to like it if he lost.
