Name: Godric Delk Malfoy
Ability Desired: Flying
How your character got this ability: Godric had been obsessed with flight ever since he was two years old. He had watched a Dragon flying while his mother was visiting friends in Bulgaira, and had been awed by there easy control of the sky. He vowed that one day, he would fly with dragons, without the aid of a broom.
After his first year of school at Durmstrang, he decided that he could devlope a potion that would allow him to fly. He searched for two years for the right books, leading him into a life of Dark Arts. Finaly in his third year, Godric made the discovery he had hoped for, longed for. He had found an ancient tome of Dark Arts that had been all but forgotten in the world. Inside it's pages were the secreat for a potion that allowed someone the ability of flight. It took Godric another year to find the ingredents, mix, and form the potion. But after a year of patiantly waiting, Godric was finaly given his chance. Quickly he drank the potion. It seemed to have no effect though. Disheartened but not giving up, he vowed to research more.
That night however, Godric found himself waking in the middle of the night, his body resting on the cealing of his bedroom. With a loud pop, a house elf appeared in his room to check on him, but to the ugly little thing's surprise, Godric was not in his bed. As Godric watched in wonder and amazment, he floated over the poor distraught being. Then with out warning he started to drop down suddenly. Right before he landed on the poor creature, his body was yanked back into the air with enough force to push the breath out of his lungs. It took him three days to figure out how to get back down, and the answer was so obvious, he felt silly not thinking of it before hand. All he had to do, was to think about his body slowly returning to the ground. But now, he has full control over the gift due to years of practice.
Ability Desired:Occlumens
How your character got this ability:
Godric had wanted to keep the potions he had created out of the wrong hands. Instead of sticking to his curriculum, he had 'borrowed' his uncle's old books and journals from the study with out his permission. He didn't want any one getting there hands on his formulas for his Werewolf poison, or the Werewolf binding potions he had come up with early on in his dark arts studies. He studied relentlessly. Day after day, night after night, just to try to get the hang of OOclumens. Eventually after he started Hogwarts, he was finally able to test it against a seventh year. He had not only been able to keep the older boy out of his mind but had given him a migraine to boot.
Ability Desired:Telekinesis
How your character got this ability: Godric had been wondering how Christy was able to see into the future. It had been bugging him for some time. He went to his mother and asked if she had any idea where the ability had started from. She had smiled sadly at him and told him that there were areas of his training she had never wanted him to learn due to his dark and moody nature. But since he had asked the questions she wasn't going to deny him his birth right. She had him sit down and focus his mind on every thing around him. Feel out where the smallest book was. And imagine that book coming to him. He followed her instructions down to the letter. Sadly at first nothing happened. Then as time after time he tried, small things would happen to the book. After a month of focusing on the tiny book for hours on end, it shifted. He doubled his efforts, and after a few more months had passed he was able to get the book to open to a certain page. More time passed and Godric was about to scream one night at his inability to manipulate the tiny object to his desire. He had told himself that when he got the book to come to him, then he could read what it said inside, and only then would he know his mother's secret. He calmed himself down by taking a drought of peace, focused once more on the book that had been his newest obsession, cleared his head of every thing but the book. Slowly at first but then picking up speed the book came to him. It had taken the better part of a year to even do this much. He opened the book and read only the first line before he understood. "You are as strong as you will yourself to be, with or with out your telekinetic skills my daughter." The name at the bottom of the page was his Grandmother's. As he flipped to the next page using his new found gift, he read his mother's note to him. "May our gift live inside of you, but my our curse lie forever in the grave with you my son, My Godric."
Name: Godric Delk Malfoy
Ability Desired: Parsletounge
How your character got this ability: Godric was born with the ability to talk to snakes. It ran in his blood as a Malfoy. His family had always been strong in the Dark Arts, and Godric was just as bad as the man who had spawned him. Godric first discovered this gift when he was playing at a friend's house and his older brother's pet boa had escaped it's pen. The slithering creature had found it's way into the room Godric and his friend were palying in, and coiled around his friend's throught. Godric thinking not about the fact that animals normaly couldn't understand human speech, started talking to the snake. He noticed that at first the reptile just looked at him, and then something extrodanary happened, it hissed back at him, but to the young boy, it was compleatly understandable. He and the snake came to an agreement, it would release the other boy, if Godric talked it's owner into releasing it into the wild. Godric of course, agreed. After this display of Dark Arts, his friend and the boy's older brother did as Godric asked. They never spoke to him again.
Godric's mother hated his power to speak to the serpents of the world, souly due to the fact that it made her think of the Dark Lord Voldamort. His mother had once been a DE, and had witnessed the rare gift before. Godric honed it over the years through constant interaction with his companion Gift.
