Amelia was easily the first one to arrive in Charms on a rather chilly January morning, but upon stepping into the chambers it was far warmer, given the fire that blazed in the hearth and on the walls. As she took a seat in the second row, Amelia was pleased to see that the usual Professor, Jess Potter, had taken back his post as charms teacher.
It wasn't that Amelia had thought Professor Lupin - ahem, Khaat - to be a bad professor; on the contrary, she had given quite a sufficient lesson, albeit brief beyond the round of introductions. Rather, Amelia was just pleased to see someone who didn't really know her personally standing at the front of the class. Amelia had had a rather personal experience in the presence of Khaat, and had been rather put off by having her as a professor. Amelia was the type of person who believed there was a very clear line between teachers and students, and that the pair really only ought to exist in the classroom situation. Professors didn't need to know anything about other her than her magical ability; nothing more, nothing less.
Setting her bag on the ground, Amelia pulled out a piece of parchment, a quill, and her charms book. She dutifully copied the title of the lesson from the board and then flipped her book open to the section of the same name and began reading.
