Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

The Coffeehouse Empty The Coffeehouse

Post by Khaat Lupin Sun Jan 10, 2010 11:37 pm

Khaat had had to be at St. Mungo's today, but she still had not gotten them convinced to change the brand of coffee they served She thought it was inferior and preferred a gourmet brand. She had gone a short distance from the hospital to a local coffee shop. She ordered a large cup of a strong Brazilian coffee and sat down at a table with a copy of the Daily Prophet tucked carefully into a London Times to conceal it, and began to read the daily wizarding news.

Dane entered the cafe and placed his money on the counter. He got himself a coffee and added some cream and sugar. He loved coffee, way to much in some peoples opinions. as he made his way to a table he spotted someone who he thought looked familiar. He walked over to the table she was at. "Khaat, Khaat Lupin? Is that you?" he asked remembering her from school..

"Oh my goodness! Dane! How good to see you again! Come join me and catch me up on where you've been all these years. Come sit down." Khaat was genuinely thrilled to see a fellow Gryffindor from her school years. It was a shining spot for her in a very busy and difficult day.

He took a seat with a grin and laughed. "Good to see you again Khaat!" Dane said placing his coffee down. He hadn't been in contact with anyone from his house since he graduated. He continued to grin and took a drink of his coffee. "Well where should I start?" he said laughing. "Lets start with you actually!" he said.

"oh. Well, I'm a sub at Hogwarts. I also am the director of St. Mungos. I have a little house in Hogsmeade full of runaway teenagers who have no place else to go, and I have an adopted 15 year old daughter from Romania." She took a sip of her coffee and said, "Oh, and by the way, I'm engaged to a wonderful man, and we're going to have a baby in late August or early September. Um... that's about it." She laughed warmly. "And you--you are as handsome as ever. What brings you back to these parts?"

"Well actually, I'm here on an Auror Mission" he said grinning at all she had to say. "There's said to be a group of kids in their late teens coming out to London and bothering muggles" he said glancing out the window. He hoped he could at least see someone being harassed. He sadly had no leads, and he was the best Auror the Ministry had... "Also I just kinda needed to get out of the house..."

"Oh, how I understand that feeling, " Khaat laughed. "But I'm glad your're an auror. We do need good aurors in this area. The death eaters are just getting too big for their britches. Its nice to have someone who is willing to stand in that gap between them and keeping people safe. You live here in London, then? And how's that famous dad of yours? I never did meet your family when you were at Hogwarts."

"Actually he did about five years ago" he said grimacing. "He was a funny man...and another word I wouldn't say" he said grinning. "We had a bit of an ongoing joke between us..." he took another drink of his coffee and smiled a bit. "I'm not going to tell you cause it was us...us alone.." he said laughing. "Besides, you wouldn't have known him unless you loved muggle comedy..."

"But I do like muggle comedy. My folks have a farm in Cornwall not far from a fishing village that has just as many muggles as it does magical folks. We had a tv and all that sort of thing when I was a kid. I did see your dad on tv in that sitcom he did and some things after that. I just never got to meet him. So you work for the Ministry, then? I'm a member of the Wizengamot, but that's about as close to the ministry as I typically get. I guess I'm just busy."

"I honestly have way too much free time" he said. "I work part time as a muggle comedian actually. Like my father" he said grinning. He pulled out his wallet and placed two tickets on the table. "Here, take that man of yours to a show I'm doing in a few days.." he said grinning. "Its at the staples center in LA"
