What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. What a Novel Idea - Page 4 Empty Re: What a Novel Idea

Post by Khaat Lupin Sat Jan 09, 2010 2:10 pm

Khaat was busy repairing the tea shop, but as she did , she saw a flash in her mind--a seer's vision. She saw the young man who was with Amelia. He was being coiled around by a huge basilisk and it was squeezing all the light out of him, leaving him filled with almost nothing but darkness. It gave her a chill. The future did not bode well for this young man, but now, she didn't know whether to tell him or not. And--she wasn't sure this was at all good for Amelia either. It stopped her in her tracks from repairing the tea shop. She conjured a prophesy ball for storage of the prophesy and moved the thread from her mind to the ball and pocketted the ball in her bag, as procedure for seers demanded she do. Dark tidings indeed, she thought, conjuring herself a new cup of coffee to console herself.

"We had a little rumble with some death eaters--literally, it seems, "Khaat smiled. "Now we're putting Madam Puddifoot's shop back together for her. It might take a moment before she's ready to serve tea again. Can I conjure something for you in the meantime? Oh, I'm Khaat, by the way. Chief of the Cleaning Crew, I guess."

"Nice to meet you, "Khaat smiled. She continued to repair things, and as she did her new prophesy ball fumbled out of her bag and rolled over to Eli's feet. Khaat scrambled and snatched it before he could pick it up. "You're not ready for that," she said, as an awkward explanation.

What a Novel Idea - Page 4 Empty Re: What a Novel Idea

Post by Elijah Krum Sat Jan 09, 2010 2:54 pm

From the weight of the ball Elijah could tell it was full. He was interested now, why couldn’t he look at the prophecy and what was all this rubbish about not being ready? All Seer’s were mad anyway so what was the point in paying attention to her? It was probably about what he was going to have for lunch in a week anyway. Steak, chips and salad. Oh my god he’s not ready for the burden that is food!

Instead of pressing the matter, though, Eli kissed Mia gently and walked back over to his bag. He pushed some of the debris away and picked up the mask he’d kicked over there. The designs were almost as intricate as the wand. He took it from his pocket and held the wand up to the mask. They were almost identical in additional designs. Eli opened his bag and slipped the mask and wand inside. He closed his bag and lifted it up. He didn’t plan on telling anyone he had the stuff and he didn’t plan on giving those kittens back either.

Then, instead of walking back over to Mia he decided to confront the three-course Seer. Eli rolled his eyes momentarily and called Nachash to him. The snake hissed in response and crawled across the floor. She curled up around his leg and moved to sit on his shoulders. She was getting behind huge now and Eli wondered if there was enough room on him for her to stay. Either that or he could get a tank or something.

“What am I not ready for?” Eli asked.

"You are about to be faced with some critically important choices in your life, young man," she said carefully. "You are about to be tempted. Make sure you choose well. This could impact you and everyone you love for the rest of your lives. Think carefully about what your thoughts and actions will do before you act." It was not her job to make his choices for him, but she could warn him. She did know that. "Be sure you never let anyone remove all the light from your spirit."

Eli scowled. The woman really was bloody batty. He rolled his eyes and heard Nachash hiss out a laugh. Obviously she found the woman entertaining as well. His feet were firmly planted on the ground and he wasn’t exactly going to do anything that would impact anyone else’s life. Nachash whispered in his ear and he laughed a little before deciding to speak again, “I doubt very highly that I am going to make an impact on anyone’s life.”

"As you wish, " Khaat shook her head sadly. She had figured her words would fall on deaf ears. She knew that prophesies generally had to play themselves out, so she had not expected the young man to listen. "but you will soon realize your words were foolish indeed." She turned back to finish her repairing. She noticed young Emily had left as quickly as she had come, and she could understand. The teashop was not at its best today. Still, she hoped that it had not been her spilling of the prophesy ball that made the young girl feel her timing in the shop was not its best.
