Khaat's House in Hogsmeade--(open)

Khaat laughed warmly. "It really wasn't any trouble. Remember, I like to cook, and I had a lot of years without someone to cook for. I am glad to do it now. My parents like to do things when I'm at the farm, and it wasn't until I met you all that I had a family of my own now to do all the things that I've always wanted to do. This is what I want--having a houseful of kids that I can take care of. This is important to me and I'm glad you and Mis are here."

Gar nodded.
"It's great being here," he said happily. "I hope I'll always be ABLE to stay. That's about all I need right now."

"I want you to be able to stay," she smiled. " I want you to always feel like you have a home here for as long as you want one. Go on, fix your plate, before it gets cold."

Gar smiled and nodded, then ran and made a plate of food, digging into it quickly.
"This...is awesome..." he murmured between mouthfuls.

Khaat laughed and enjoyed her own dinner. "Eat as much as you like, Gar. You know I always have one or more desserts, too.

Gar put away about three pounds of food before turning back to Khaat.
"Chocolate?" he asked, still hungry with all the recent training.

"Fresh pears poached in red wine, with homemade cinnamon ice cream, and just enough drizzle of hot fudge to make it really sinful," Khaat laughed. "I think you'll like it." Khaat got up, got the hot poached pears, added fresh homemade cinnamon ice cream, and drizzled just a large spoonful of hot fudge over the ice cream and the pear to be the perfect touch.

Garulia stared. He had never heard of it, but as soon as it was done he snatched one and devoured it. It was DELICIOUS.
"Simply....amazing....can I have another?" he begged her. It made his mouth water just thinking about it.

"Certainly! There are plenty." She took his plate and fixed him another poached pear, with cinnamon ice cream, and choclate syrup. "I am glad you feel comfortable to enjoy yourself here. That means a lot to me. I'm glad. And I'm glad you are going to help out at Sparks. I want to bring good fresh homecooked food to Diagon Alley, instead of that pub stuff that is always deep fried and not healthy. I want to bring the kind of comfort food that we have here that we all enjoy so much. And I'm going to have to teach you the spells for the animated creatures made of sparks that will float overhead in the restaurant. You're going to have to learn to conjure a lot of different animals and objects for customers. But you're a fast study. You'll get this spell quickly."

Gar smiled, happily reminded of his new job at Khaat's restaurant/pub and hugged her again.
"You've done soooo much for me. I love you," he told her. She wasn't just LIKE his mother. She WAS his mother. A parent is someone who takes care of and loves you.
