A Break from Studies

"Yeah she's the charms professor there." she said looking at him. "Is that such a big surprise?" she asked him curiously thankful for the change of subject about being ready. She really wasn't in the mood to talk much about her family, when in fact half the time she ended up talking about them she really didn't want to.

"Lead the way." she said smiling. While she was only in her pajamas and a jacket and a pair of shoes she was fairly warm and would probably stay that way. The hoodie she had put on was one of the warmest ones she owned. Which she loved.

"That's so cool," Nathan told her. "I want to be a teacher when I get older," he continued; it wasn't a big surprise not really. Although it was unexpecting. "Kind off," he smirked, reading her expression noticing that she looked uncomfortable talking about her family. Something must of happen in the family -- a family problem. It was best, he thought. To change the 'subject' so that he wasn't hurting her.

"Sure," he said, smiling back. Nathan started walking, showing the way to the astronomy tower. Of course she knew where the astronomy tower; he saw her in class everytime; but it was best if she followed him so that they were not caught. He couldn't get that image out of her head; she impressed him so much when she didn't seem to change into any skirty or short pants. It didn't impress him that way. In fact she did the opposite. "Stay close," he said taking her hand and started sneaking his way out of the tower.

She followed him close at his heels as they made their way towards the astronomy tower. Sometimes she wished her seer abilities worked when she wanted them to but sadly something this close in the future she couldn't get a vision on. Mainly she had just wanted to see if they would get caught although she had a strong feeling they wouldn't be.

"Don't worry I planned on it." she said in a whisper her face flushing a bit when he grabbed her hand. Subconciously she interlaced her fingers between his as they started sneaking from the tower. Once they reached the bottom of the tower she grabbed hold of him and pulled him into the darkness of the hallway as a prefect passed right by them. "Sorry." she whispered apologizing for pulling him back a bit.

Nathaniel let out a small gasp not from exhaustion, but from fright. He felt something pulling his arm back; he fell, softly into Christabelle. He turned around to see what was she on about, he didn't like being pulled back. "What is it?" he asked, whispering at the same time; keeping at a discreet tone. Even though he didn't know that a prefect was walking pass them, he knew that he still had to keep quite.

She waited til after the prefect had passed them before she spoke, "You almost walked straight into a prefect." she said looking at him. "Didn't think you'd want to get caught and have to go back to the dorms." she continued to keep a whisper. "Sorry for pulling you back like that."

She could tell he didn't like when she did that but it was better that she had so he wouldn't get a detention and both of them sent back to their dorm. The common room could be as dull as muffins at night when no one was around and she hated that. She was glad she was getting out of the dorms for more than just classes.

Nathan looked at her confused; looking behind him. Seeing a Prefect walking down the corridor. He turned back; thank god she was here to protect his back. He was graceful for that, graceful that he had taken her with him that was another good impression on him. "Thanks," he nodded and contunued to lead her the way to the astronomy tower

"No problem." she said quietly as they started on their way again. She had sneaked away from the tower several times mostly to go down into the dungeons but she had never seen a prefect or professor until tonight. Guess you can't go every time without seeing one. she thought as they walked.

Finally, they reached to the astronomy tower; no prefect ever came through here. They were safe at last - now they could relax. Slowly, Nathaniel stood by the stairs, looking both and right before heading into the tower; making sure that there was no one there. "Clear," he whispered taking her hand again and dragging her, softly along with him. The stars were beautiful just like he told her, the moon shined, brightly from the horizon. "Do you like it?" he asked. Nathan leaned against the rail and started to look at her smiling, happily at her. It was peaceful up here and was even better when you had somebody to talk to. He was quite glad that she took a risk and came here.

Christabelle had to hold back a giggle at the sight of him checking both ways before he lead her up the staircase to the top of the tower. She followed him as he dragged her lightly up the stairs. She was glad to see him let go of her hand once they reached the top of the tower but at the same time a little sad about it though she didn't say anything. She looked up at the stars, the moonlight glowing around her blonde hair making her look slightly angelic. "I love it." she said looking back at him returning the smile. She was extremely glad that she had come. There were plenty of stars to look at and surprisingly a good bit of constellations.

Nathan watched as the moonlight glowed around her blond hair making her slightly angetlic. He smiled and suddenly there was a sudden aching pain in his heart - not a bad one of course. His heart raced against his chest, rapidly. He gulped and forced another smile onto his face; what could this be; could've he have been in love. Madly in love. "It so beautiful isn't it," he told her not taking his eyes off her; referring that she was beautiful but making it sound like he was ta;lomg about the nightsky and the star.
