Professor Flitwick wrote:You walk up to a shop with peeling gold letters over the door which says
"Ollivanders: Makers of Fine Wands since 382 BC." A single wand sits in the window on a faded purple cushion in the dusty window. You enter the dark building. A spindly chair and large piles of boxes, that touch the ceiling, are the only things in the small dark room.
"Hello," said a soft voice. An old man is standing in front of you, with
bright eyed.
"Hello," you say nevously.
"Well I surppose your here for your first wand. Hogwarts?"
"Yes," you reply.
"Well we better get started then, because I'm meeting Mr Dumbledore in
20 minutes," said Mr Ollivander. "Which is your wand arm?"
You hold out an arm. Mr Ollivander takes out a long tape measure from
his pocket placed it on your arm and it started measuring parts of your
body by itself.
"Every wand has a powerful magical core in it. Here in Ollivanders we use phoenix tail feathers, unicorn hairs and heartstrings of dragons. Right thats enough," said Mr Ollivander and the tape measure fell to the floor.
"Now it is the time for you to choose your wand. Well, in truth, it's the wand that chooses the wizard, really."
