So, your just a coward, Roxanne said, except she didn't say it. It was very cruel, and would just make Scorpius mad again. Even if it was true. "Ok then," Roxanne said, shrugging, she didn't really like the topic either. "Are you going to the yule ball next month?"

"Probably," Scorpius replied. The question was, who would he go with? He had wanted to go with Rose, but that wasn't possible now. There was a lot of Slytherin girls who would probably go with him if he didn't find a date. "But I don't really know who I'm going with yet. How bout you? Are you going?" he asked. Quite obviously yes, girls always went to dances.

"Of course silly!" Roxanne said laughing. It was true that a majority of the girls in the school would probably be there. "I dont really have anyone to go with either," she said, giggling. "Want to go together?" she asked, without thinking very well. She realized what she had said, after saying it. Of course, she liked Scorpius, but going with him would definately anger her father. Then again, she didn't really care.

Scorpius was a bit surprised at her offer. Of course, he would of rather went with Rose, but he couldn't go alone really, that would just be sad. "You want to go with me? Really?" Scorpius said, just making sure. He had detected some uncertainty in her voice.

"Yeah," Roxanne said, shrugging after thinking about it a bit. "I might of went with Albus, but I think Rose is going with him, as friends of course," she added, with a slight smile. It was obvious Scorpius liked Rose, though a little surprising. She had always thought there had been some rivalry between the two.
