What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Nikki had stood infront of Headmaster Shacklebolt's office door for about ten minutes now. She took a deep breath. She bit her lip. She scratched her head. She thought about what she was going to say, repeatedley in her mind. She was wearing her Gryffindor robes, her hair out naturally, no make up or jewellery. She needed to make a good argument and impression. She muttered a password to the gargoyle and entered the office. She grinned and looked all around her. The office was quite cosy and comfortable.

The headmaster had been down to the kitchens to get some coffee for himself. Having gotten some, he now had walked all the way back up to his office and stood in front of the gargoyles, catching his breath. Why they had made the castle so big he didn't know. Saying the password (acid pops), the headmaster climbed the stairs to his office. As he entered his office, he jumped at the sight of a girl already inside it and spilled his coffee all over his robes. "Haven't you young children ever heard of knocking?" he grumbled.

Nikki turned and gasped and covered her mouth. Oh my goodness, Headmaster Shacklebolt! Nikki panicked and bowed and was just so confused on what to do. I am so sorry I mean, I just... Nikki walked over to him and helped him clean up a bit.

"Its ok," the headmaster replied, sighing. He took out his wand and cleaned the mess up in several seconds. "Now explain to me young lady, why are you here?" he asked her sternly.

Uhm well, it's hard to say but I will try anyways... Nikki took a deep breath and sighed. You know I had a son, Jake, like ages ago and he is living with his father who is not right on his feet I mean, he drinks beer and vomits and I do not want my son to be in that kind of environment. Nikki turned away and put some hair that was in her face behind her ear. I'd..I'd like to drop out of school and look after him. Nikki muttered so very quietly.

The headmaster of course knew about her son, that event had raised quite an issue and most of the teachers knew of it. Frowning slightly, Shacklebolt didn't like students dropping out of school, even if they had a good reason. School was important. "Why don't you just take care of Jake at the castle?" he suggested.

How can I!? Nikki snapped and bit her lip. Sir? She quickly added. I mean it wouldn't be such a big deal if Andrian would just stop drinking and vomitting and exposing my son to that kind of behaviour. If I was just with him I'd know everything would be okay but he's with some other person so now my son is exposed to alcoholism, hangover and cheating. Nikki sighed and shook her head.

Headmaster Shacklebolt didn't get it at all, she was obviously a very confused person. "So are you planning on staying with this Andrian when you drop out of Hogwarts?" he asked frowning. he didn't like the sound of him. he had known Andrian from last year though, and he hadn't been like that. Though he had been a trouble maker, but still, all children were troublemakers.

Um, how can I sir when he might be married to someone else? Nikki sighed again. I wish I had just given Jake up for adoption rather than him having to suffer these consequences.
