Goodness, goodness, goodness. To clear things up, McCain is the presumptive nominee (basically, he IS going to be the nominee) of the Republican Party (also known as the GOP). Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are duking it out right now, and that might hurt the democrats chances of winning in November, since several Clinton and Obama supporters alike say that they will vote for McCain if their candidate does not get the nomination. Right now, I think the dems are heading for a brokered convention. Anyhow, who am I for? I'm not really for any of them, but I think that McCain is probably the most sensible choice. If you look at statements made by key democrats, you'll see that they believed it necessary to go to war in Iraq (arguably a key issue). Sens. Ted Kennedy, Hillary Clinton, John Kerry and others have made statements (before the war) that Al Qaida had bases in Iraq. The day after Sen. Obama made his famous speech about the American people being misled by President George W. Bush, Osama released a video dealing with his group in Iraq. Interesting. However, as a republican, I am hoping Hillary gets the nomination, because I think she will lose in the General Election, but also because if she happens to win, she will still be better than Obama, who is still in political diapers. :-D
