((The awards this month totally gave me this idea....so here goes!
))
Abbey walked into the hallway with a mischevious smile on her lips. She kept getting odd looks from the people around her, probaley because she looked like she was up to no good, and also because she had her broom in her hand, but no Quidditch robes on. Abbey wasn't usually the kind to cause trouble, but she had to try this one thing....
She finally had gotten to the spot she wanted. It was right in front of the ornate wooden front doors. The odd looks continued, but she thought nothing of it. Abbey brushed their glances off.
She stood in the middle of the hallway, and mounted her broom. People started backing away from where she was standing. More fun-loving kids were smiling and whispering to one another, while seventh year prefects were standing in a huddle off to the right of the hall, conversing with one another about what Abbey could possibly be planning to do. "So," she began, looking around the hallway. "Who wants to race me?" Abbey made sure she didn't say that too loudly, but just loud enough for everyone in the hall to hear. She didn't want teachers spoiling this now, right when the fun was about to begin. No one answered. "Oh come on, doesn't anyone have the guts to do this?" she asked, laughing a bit at the lack of enthusiasm she was recieving from her bold idea.
